About   (request update)
*If you want my whole life Biography, then ask me. This is my at this moment Biography. When you do ask for my whole Biography, I hope you have the time to actually sit down and read it.*

I am currently in college for nursing. I am a full time 911 dispatcher for our local town and work part time as a Assistant Supervisor at a Hotel. My husband is a part time Fire Fighter and full time for a company called Affordable Fire Protection.

I am a Fire Photographer with his departemnt. Which I also go to school for. Bascially, I go on the calls with the guys, take photos and sell the photos to the newspaper and work on their website. I really enjoy what I do.

My husband and I have been married for a little over 2 yrs, and have a adorable little boy name PJ.

Words of advice, I am not leaving this website anytime soon. Ignore me as much as you want. I am not going to lose sleep over you ignoring me. If you are going to ignore me, then don't respond to what I have to say.

If I don't write on here for a couple of days, its not that I left this website. Its the fact that I do have a life, and when I have free time is when I am able to be on the computer.

This is for the people who are ignoring and want me to leave. You know who you are.

How Did You Find Out About This Site:
CNN, Blackvoices.com, Blacknews.com
Did You See The CNN Special Entitled "Black In America":
No
Why Are You Concerned About Black America:
I am not only concern about the black race, but all races. Not only one race is struggling in America. Why should only one race be able to have a program on to show what they are dealing with. I found it disgusting, humilating and a lack of tolerence for all races to just show one race. CNN should deal with all race. We all are struggling in our own way to make it in America. We all discriminate against all race. We all judge people, when we don't realize it. We all have a history. But, that is what it is. A history. We take the history with a grain of salt, and put it away. But, we don't forget. Our history makes us who we are today. A stronger, independent, well rounded human being. Do we still need to dwell on our history? No. We can't change the past. We can only hope for a better future. Not everyone is the same, but if we all come as one. We can change how the world is today. To have organizations, colleges, anthems, etc for your own race, seems wrong to me. If my race had our own organization, colleges, anthems and such, we would have NAACP, Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton after us in a heartbeat. Bascially we would be called Racist. I believe that everyone is racist. You might not think you are, but you are. I have so much more to write, but I don't have a lot of time. I am a happily married 23 yr old women. I have a 13 month old son, name PJ. I am an open book and would be happy to share my story because everyone has a story. But no one takes the time to listen.

Hi Jessica, Welcome!!! I am the first to admit that every soul under the sun has discrimation in them, more or less! Fact is that this is God's world and we need to set aside the differences to work on the bigger goals in life, and that is harmony, peace, and a good life for everyone in the world! However, we are far from there, yet!!! I come from a country were different races live with each other, share each other cultural background and eventually marry each other. Believe me, racism is in all of us: my family exists because of different cultural aspects: African, Amer-Indian, Indian, Chinese, French, and some others I don't know about. Do I sometimes talk about my Hindi family? Yes I do! And I noticed that negative comments are most of the time, because there is some kind of jealousy ruling the whole issue, so dear Jessica, it is everywhere, even among close family and siblings!!! It is what it is, and we need to make a difference now and in the future. We do not need to shed more blood, waste more tears, and more energy on negative situations. I take as example a garden! It would not be a breathe-taking view if all flowers were the same and their was no variety in all the flowers and all the trees. It would be boring! The same is true for human beings and animals. We would not enjoy safaris and diversity of our existence if we all would look alike!!! I thank God sincerely for diversity!!!

Hi Jessica Please don't assume that just because you are white and have raised some eyebrows that you are worthy of abandonment. That is quite the contrary. We as a people, I believe, have come to a realization that being negative from the start has gotten us nowhere and that is why we have this forum to open up our hearts and minds. We have all raised eyebrows, questions, and controversies, hence we are Black America. We are a controversial people in many ways. Hopefully, this sight will bring all of us together including you to a healthy understanding, love and peace. If you feel left out it will only be because you put yourself in that position to be left out. Welcome.

Jessica I to am a Georgia native and i've experienced a lot of racial controversy. I don't feel that this website was made for strictly black people nor are HBCU's. The misconception is that only black people can go to HBCU's but the point is history from a black perspective. Welcome to the community and realize that you're gonna have skeptics of you but your opinion is welcomed. We learn from each other no one person has the solution. We are all America

That is very true. But I feel like at the same time, you are looking for some kind of ..validation amongst us. I feel as though you are simply trying to prove a point, and thats ok. You may not be.. that is just my opinion!

Thanks for joining this community. I think that many of us also believe that the CNN series misrepresented how complex race is in the US. In order for there to be any real progress, we need to have honest talk, and not just amongst Black people. Please do join in and share your thoughts.

Obviously a lot of us are still segregated, especially in the south. Blacks want equality which has not yet been granted and that is why there are colleges and black organizations and even this website, etc. I agree that we holler racism and as well hold ourselves back but if all of our black colleges, organizations, and movie stars can come together as a democracy we may have a better representation of the Black Society. A strategy that can help bring more equality to everyone, including those in the ghettos.

I appreciate you comment, but I don't really understand your point. Can you please say it in another way.
