Ernest Ruffin, Jr. CEO of ECSMG Media a wholly owned division of ECSMG Consulting, LLC a company Ernest founded in 1996. My career started as a computer sales person for NCR Corporation where I sold Sea-Land a US based shipping company $20M in client . server technology and services in over 14 countries in 2.5 years.
I started ECSMG as a sports management and marketing firm providing services to NBA and WNBA players. In 1995 I secured the number 1 pick Joe Smith, the 10 pick Kurt Thomas and the number 14 pick of the 1995 NBA Draft as clients and was written about in Armen Keteyian's NY Times best selling book "Money Players Inside The New NBA" in two chapters. In 2000 I started a technology services company and refocused on the entertainment industry again in 2007 focusing all of our efforts on ECSMG Media. ECSMG Media is a production company that produces reality shows "Generation Next", we recently completed our first feature film titled "The Caribbean Heist" a very good movie about five women who move to Miami looking for a better life, fall on hard times and seek revenge for one of their boyfriend's who cheats on one of them, so they decide to rob him and his millionaire friends. We had our first premiere in May 2013 with plans for our 2nd premiere in Newark, NJ at Shaquille O'Neal's new movie theaters in October 2013. www.thecaribbeanheist.com is where you go to stream the movie. www.hoodeconomix.co is a website I started with ConnectPlatform.com is a site where entrepreneurs and people interested in owning their own business can go and get pertinent information and read very good articles on business, international business, etc. My students contribute interesting information to this site monthly. More recent, I'm an Adjunct Professor of Entrepreneurship at Rutgers University where I received an award voted on by the students as The Most Engaging Professor. Seton Hall University contracted me to teach entrepreneurship at their school this fall too. My goal is to provide key information about entrepreneurship and economic empowerment to as many young people as I can. I have three children Victoria, Ghylian and Ernest III. I have an undergraduate degree in Accounting from Bloomfield College in New Jersey and an MBA from Queens University of Charlotte in North Carolina.
