Q&A With Tieuel Legacy

What is your definition of freedom?
"Being able to do anything, of any kind, without consequence. I automatically think of financial freedom where we build companies that allow us to purchase without credit. We also leave legacies. Good question."

Interviewed by Selina Hall 02/23/12

Why do you stand out in a crowd
"Oftentimes it is because of my solemn face. People can be drawn to that and wonder if I'm mad. Most times I'm low key so it will take conversation to pull out the smiles. Tieuel Legacy! aka Shawnre'"

How do you distinguish the difference between a FRIEND and an ASSOCIATE?
"An associate doesn't look out for your best interests. A friend will introduce you to anyone that might benefit you, make you feel like you are important in their lives, and look out for you when something ahead of you doesn't seem right."

Interviewed by ANGELA CLINTON 08/27/08

What is your main goal in life?
"I can't say that I have one main goal but one of several goals is for me to tell all of the stories that I am able to tell via film. Film involves two of my favorite pasttimes as a collector...film and music. Being able to draft stories that would typically never see the light is exciting for me."

Interviewed by LaTonya Holman 08/25/08

Why are you here?
"My goal for many of the online sources is to promote myself and my work. It's okay if people don't know my face but I definitely want my film and video projects to have a platform across the world. I was introduced to this site because of the group title "Film Financing". Meeting individuals that think outside of the box will keep me coming back. Tieuel Legacy! aka Shawnre'"

Interviewed by Karen Hunter 08/23/08

Why are whites trying so hard to opress blacks and hide our history?
"I do think that there are people that still see us as inferior. However, we do a great job at oppressing ourselves. Often, people gripe about jobs but they don't do anything to educate themselves. When we are poverty stricken, we don't spend out last dollars on important items. Instead, the weedsmokers continue to buy weed. The drinkers continue to buy liquor. Although I do believe that a homeless person might need a drink every now and then to take their minds of things, those problems are still there when they wake up. That's universal, not just for our people. Our people need to be wiser though. We ALWAYS blame things on race when we don't get what we want after opposing a white person. It's not always the case. If Obama would've lost in Presidential candidate Kerry's place in 2004 then we would've screamed racism. Same in 2000. Their was injustice but it wouldn't have been racial injustice. Democrats were politically mistreated instead. Whites can only do so much to hide our history. They might not teach it in schools but I'm for damn sure that you can find it in the library, bookstore, and even on internet. We don't seek what we need to know oftentimes. We take what is given to us. I like that question Che Love. Keep it poppin'. "

Thanks as experience is the best teacher and there is not a better teacher that life's process itself. Our mistakes should always be our guide for a better life conditiions.

No, the Earls out there do not get under my skin, because he asked me if he could come into my life and it was I who gave him the right to do this not the other way around. He has a lot to offer in my trying to educate others to use their own powers to think on their own.Earl has one side of a story(usually the same story as I do)and this is so very, very needed by all of us in the human race.Learning is more important than each of us being stuck in our own ignorance. This is a quote from my logic class about how logic must work. In logic there is no wrong or no right, only dialogue/stepping into the other person's shoes...Lov ya.. The only thing that can get under my skin is not allowing "freedom of religion"!!!!!!

Mr. E. Brown, I do see the symbolism. The colors were the most striking thing to reach my mind outside of McCain and Obama's speeches. I also believe that it might've been purposefully done but we won't know until she speaks on it. Someone will ask. However, 'dare' is a strong word to many people. No she won' just rollover or distance herself from her husband. I think that a dare goes too far. Tieuel Legacy! aka Shawnre' DDAd

No, I having been born in the deep south I know the automatic looking down on us by White people and going in by the back door, but at the time I just looked at it as normal as it was always done this way.Having learned different and seeing how much better it was with those White Only, Black only rules gone, I have since then demanded no less than equality! My greatest problem is the young have missed the worst of it an falsely believe that they are accepted when they do not even see a Black on the Tv doing a responsible job before or behind the camera some times not even as a token. Just as a comic or some one with a gun of committing a crime if not already in jail, prison. Not on responsible position After 5 years of bugging and threats to the FCC and all of cable news almost every day, we now have don Lemon from co anchor to anchor. It is just on the weekene but that award winning news reporter is an anchor. A co-anchor on FOX. It is a start but it is more fun bugging the networks on a regular just to let them know that our group knows every racist statement, who said it and when.My relaxing is bugging the White people on the net who just refuse to see our people as individuals.Every time I say I have retired from the active fight against racism something more worst comes along.Oh. well...Obama is here.

I give you credit for understanding (and liking-smile) Math as I am learning disable when it comes to anything with a number in it. but, I will never forget one of my professors saying to me," never forget that Albert Einstein could not do math...I often think of this when I confront something with numbers in it giving me problems...We all have somethings that we do well and some that we do not.
