Right-wing extremism may be on rise, report says

"(CNN) -- Right-wing extremist groups may be using the recession and the election of the nation's first African-American president to recruit members, a Department of Homeland Security report contends.

Though the nine-page report said it has "no specific information that domestic right-wing terrorists are currently planning acts of violence," it said real-estate foreclosures, unemployment and tight credit 'could create a fertile recruiting environment for right-wing extremists and even result in confrontations between such groups and government authorities similar to those in the past.'"

There's a growing trend in this country that I'm starting to hear everyday on talk radio; I was listening today when a man w/a southern drawl called and said he "can't sleep at night thinking about politics". WTF?! If POLITICS keep you up at night you are thinking waaaayyy too much. Then there's the internet and sites like craigslist.org. This is where I believe people's true feelings are made known. Think about it, in society it's politically correct to smile and play the acceptance game. Even among your family and friends (most times, anyway), you don't want others to know the true hatred in your soul. So, when you close the door and are completely anonymous and begin spewing your contempt for others because they come in a different wrapper than you or because they speak differently or love differently speaks volumes about the true person. See for yourself and you'll notice that most who do that sort of thing don't share our skin tones.

Now, I don't spread hatred. I have and have had waaaayyyy too many White clients to drive a wedge between us. I am only helping others be more aware -- if you weren't already. Because it's goofy rednecks like the one who "can't get any sleep" that I worry about.

This past election has gotten under their skin more than they've let on until now.
