These are some intesting scenes. Those mountains in the background are awesome. The Rocky Mts., right? I like how you cut the bottoms out of some of the shots--#2, #7, #9 #10. That adds a little mystery and allows the mind to imagine the rest of it. I think it is a way to make your view of the scene more compelling.

In #10. were you intentionally trying to capture the rseries of rectangles?

Man, you would love taking photos around New YOrk City. We have lots of tall rectangles!!! We have rivers and one or two trees--but sorry, no mountains!

You have some eye!!!

Do you do any cropping after you look at the shot? That way you can shape the image any way you want.

Here's a suggestion--and please forgfve me if this is something you are already doing. Check out photography books of other photographers--see what approaches and techniques they use. Look at their angles and what they do with light and shadow. Then imitate some of their styles. That is how writers and artist and musicians learn--from the masters!!!
