Not a single day goes by on BIA where someone doesn't post or debate faith and/or religion. What I'd like to point out is the huge inconsistencies in the arguments that god is omniscient and omni-powerful ... and that most christians argue that the reason to do good is to reap eternal reward or avoid eternal punishment -- a damn selfish reason. A god that would create humans imperfect -- as christians say -- means that he deliberately did so knowing most couldn't follow his rules and would therefore boil in oil for eternity. Give them life for the blink of an eye, set up some rules that billions can't follow, burn them for a trillion years times a trillion. Sort of a pervert, seems to me. And that if you believe in the power of prayer, you must also believe that god is fallable or capricious or both. Now, if people truly keep their religion to themselves, it's ok by me. But as it's becoming more and more public, and the effect is to dumb down our entire black community and poison our ambitions to the point of hopelessness (see MIISRAEL Shields's response to "I have another question!"), it's time to take the gloves off.

Brother Craig, with all due respect please leave our Sister Misreal alone. Sister Misreal has never did you anything wrong and from all of my dealings with her she is a very respectful person whose always carried herself with civilization and dignity.
I admit I'm not a hoiler-than-thou person, but try to keep myself humble through prayer, Bible/Qu'ran and other devotional reading (hence my Min. Farrakhan posts). She's a Christian, I'm a Muslim, Irma's a Buddhist, I don't think any of us is forcing our religious beliefs on anyone. I for one don't denounce her or anyone else for her religion because I believe in having friendships through all walks of life.
I don't believe Misreal's prayers are that of a Christian nature, or of a Muslim nature, or of a Buddhist nature. in my opinion they are prayers of a HUMAN nature. Whether a person wants to participate in prayer on BIA is their choice as long as it is done in a respectful way. Misreal has her blogs, and of course we have ours.
Besides, wasn't it said that the family that prays together stays together?

Rev. Father Amos,
You know darn well as well as the rest of us that Brother Harry's blogs lead to one thing and one thing only and that being
" I want to see all America Blacks become sovereign people on a portion of this continent that we could call our very own country."
So if that's not Bible Thumping in the worst way then I don't know what is. He says God has called him to be your Prophet. So what say you about that Rev. Father Amos?

Craig, have you read siebra's poem Freedom or Free...It is my belief that her poem / just the use of the word FREEDOM would maybe help your chose to come onto this site and at least try to understand the mission statement...
you can even say / accept that if this is coming to you by way of your bringing this site into your life and then be able admit tHAt S-A-N-E PEOPLE ONLY DO WHAT WORKS IN THEIR FAVOR...
