Introducing: Teach America’s Children (261 hits)

Taking our goals of education reform to the next level, the Providence Effect would like to introduce our next initiative, Teach America’s Children.

We are excited to put into play a hands-on and interactive program to improve the education options for underserved students despite existing poverty barriers. To hone our focus as we get the multitude of factors involved in this process in place, we will begin focusing our efforts on Chicago area students and their families.

We believe:

• Every child deserves a quality education.
• Parents and students deserve choices in order to ensure a better quality of life.
• Every child should have the opportunity to graduate from high school and college.
• A good education is the vehicle out of poverty.
• Parents and students are powerful and can successfully demand educational quality.
• Low-income students are capable of succeeding in school and accomplishing great things.

Stay tuned for the launch of our web page and our Facebook page. Both will offer tips, tools and information about the Teach America’s Children programs in the Chicago area.

We look forward to interacting with Chicago’s parents, students and educators to rebuild the priority system in our schools and give our kids a real chance at a great future.

Hello Mr. Adams,

This is the same stuff Mr. Frederick Douglass and the NAACP fought and supposedly were victorious in the 1954 court decision Brown versus the Board of Education, am I right.

Today, 2010 you are still repeating Frederick Douglass and the NAACP. Do you expect a different result? In fact, Black America’s problem is not education. Black America’s problem is to become a sovereign people. Black America’s problem is not having our hands on the helm of our own destiny.

Nothing is workable until Black Americans realize we must become a sovereign nation or have complete independence from White America on a portion of this continent that we could call our very own country with borders to pursue life, liberty, happiness and prosperity in our own way.

Black Americans of going to inherit a portion of this continent and white America is going to be hard-pressed; but nevertheless, there are going to be happy for our sovereignty. All that we need to do is to realize that sovereignty is our only permanent solution and then we will have it. Am I right or am I wrong?

Tell me what you think.
