Irma, this is for you...
Watch and listen as Beck twists in the wind under the questioning of Fox's own Chris Wallace. Beck's stuttering and stumbling responses makes it laughable that anyone would think this man could even come close to standing next to Dr. King in any way shape or form. It takes more than getting a permit to hold a march at the Lincoln Memorial.
What this interview shows is that, when questioned, Beck falls apart. On his shows with his whiteboard, he can say anything and feel good about it because he's not under any scrutiny. His sad fans eat it up because they don't know any better and are hungry for someone, anyone to tell them that they're okay, regardless of the hatred.
That Wallace went after Beck within what should have been the safe confines of Fox News is telling. Fox knows that what Beck did yesterday was a dysmal failure, and helped no one, least of all Beck himself. It was a circus sideshow at best, one in which even the Republican Party kept its distance from. Sure, teabaggers were prominent, but these are people who have not accepted any responsibility for anything they've said and done.
Beck is a celebrity who's had more than his fifteen minutes of fame. He's about as shallow as his guest speaker, Sarah Palin. What we're seeing now is the lights are about to fade.
