The TSA Body Scan Scam - Not What it Appears
The Israelis, who have long been targets of terror for decades before 911, and haven’t had an incident of terrorism in the air in many years, don’t do the invasive techniques the US government now subjects its people to. To wit:
“A leading Israeli airport security expert says the Canadian government has wasted millions of dollars to install "useless" imaging machines at airports across the country.”
“’I don't know why everybody is running to buy these expensive and useless machines. I can overcome the body scanners with enough explosives to bring down a Boeing 747,’ Rafi Sela told parliamentarians probing the state of aviation safety in Canada.”
“’That's why we haven't put them in our airport,’ Sela said, referring to Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion International Airport, which has some of the toughest security in the world.”
“Sela, former chief security officer of the Israel Airport Authority and a 30-year veteran in airport security and defense technology, helped design the security at Ben Gurion.”
These are the same machines that are being installed in US airports across the country, $250 million dollars worth.
But if you think the new security measures at US airports are about security, think again. As usual, it’s about money:
* In 2008, former U.S. Department of Homeland Security secretary Michael Chertoff authored a 38 page report warning of terrorists exploiting our security deficiencies – including air travel.
* On Christmas Day 2009, just before the “attempted bombing incident” on board flight 253, there were a total of 40 body scanners in use in 19 airports in the U.S.
* On Christmas Day 2009, numerous witnesses watched while Abdulmutallab, the supposed 'terrorist' was escorted TO the plane by several men in suits. (And keep in mind he was able to buy a one way ticket in cash without proper ID before getting on the plane!)
* After the 'bombing attempt' Chertoff made a flurry of media appearances suggesting that the “attempted bombing incident” could have been avoided if all airports were using full body scanners.
* The Washington Post printed an article on January 1, 2010, calling Chertoff out for using his government credentials to promote a product that benefits his clients. It was revealed that Rapiscan Systems, the manufacturer of the naked body scanner Chertoff was recommending, was a client of Chertoff's security consulting agency.
* Rapiscan has since received over $250 million in scanner orders…
The key point is this: The current TSA scandal supplies a possible explanation for the many mysteries surrounding the Abdulmutallab affair. The conspiracy, if conspiracy there was, now has a motive -- money.
Let’s sum it all up. The so-called “Christmas bomber” was a plant to scare people and provide the government the cover of a solution to a made up threat to justify buying the machines from Chertoff’s client, Rapiscan.
And it gets worse:

“The CEO of one of the two companies licensed to sell full body scanners to the TSA accompanied President Barack Obama to India earlier this month, a clear sign of the deep ties between Washington politicians and the companies pushing to have body scanners installed at all US airports.”
“Chopra's company manufactures the Rapiscan brand of body scanners, currently being deployed across US airports.”
“That a manufacturer of body scanners accompanied the US president on a foreign trip shows the extent of the ties between the industry and the US government. With anger growing at the intrusive news screening procedures, many observers have focused attention on Michael Chertoff, the former Homeland Security secretary whose consultancy, the Chertoff Group, counts OSI as a client.”
