Last time on “Let Us Tell Are Real Black History. Joseph was move to tell all of his brothers the he was Joseph there brother and he asked them “Is his father still alive?” In the session, we also explored that there was no difference in skin color from the Mizraimite and the Canaanites and the only difference was customs, facial hair, this was proven by ten of Joseph’s brothers who did not recognize him as their own brother because both people was “BLACK.”. Also, we discovered in Genesis 45: 28 who was Israel.
28 And Israel said, It is enough; Joseph my son is yet alive: I will go and see him before I die.
So, Israel, is Jacob, my Brothers and Sisters because the Lord changed his name from, Jacob to Israel, the father of these brothers, is Israel.
Jacob came to Egypt and he died in Egypt. Jacob had already had Joseph to promise is father to take him back to The Land of Canaan and bury him. Israel said to Joseph when I die, I don’t want to be buried here in Egypt, take me back to the Land of Canaan which the Lord had gave to Abraham, his father. So, they took him back. Now Joseph went back to Pharaoh and told him that his father made him promise to take him back.
5 My father made me swear, saying, Lo, I die: in my grave which I have digged for me in the land of Canaan, there shalt thou bury me. Now therefore let me go up, I pray thee, and bury my father, and I will come again. 6 And Pharaoh said, Go up, and bury thy father, according as he made thee swear. 7 And Joseph went up to bury his father: and with him went up all the servants of Pharaoh, the elders of his house, and all the elders of the land of Egypt,
Now that funeral precession had to be something to see. All of the big dignitaries, elders, a great assembly of Egypt and its security was there, to go in the Land of Canaan to bury Jacob n/ Israel in the land.
8 And all the house of Joseph, and his brethren, and his father's house: only their little ones, and their flocks, and their herds, they left in the land of Goshen.
Also Joseph and his people was there as well.
9 And there went up with him both chariots and horsemen: and it was a very great company. 10 And they came to the threshingfloor of Atad, which is beyond Jordan, and there they mourned with a great and very sore lamentation: and he made a mourning for his father seven days. 11 And when the inhabitants of the land, the Canaanites, saw the mourning in the floor of Atad, they said, This is a grievous mourning to the Egyptians: wherefore the name of it was called Abelmizraim, which is beyond Jordan.
That means the mourning of the Egyptians. Brothers and Sisters, in the eyes of the Canaanites, all they saw was a great gathering of black people and a lot of them had Egyptian clothing on. So, to The Canaanites, they was all Egyptians.
Now let us read The Book of Exodus 1 Now these are the names of the children of Israel, which came into Egypt; every man and his household came with Jacob.
2 Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah,
3 Issachar, Zebulun, and Benjamin,
4 Dan, and Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.
5 And all the souls that came out of the loins of Jacob were seventy souls: for Joseph was in Egypt already.
Now Brothers and Sisters, take notice to this point. You had about three women and has 53 unmarried males went down into Egypt. So, were did these Brothers get their wives from? WHERE! That is write, from among the Egyptians.
6 And Joseph died, and all his brethren, and all that generation. 7 And the children of Israel were fruitful, and increased abundantly, and multiplied, and waxed exceeding mighty; and the land was filled with them.
Now we know that the children of Israel was our people, is because, we did the same thing in this country, didn’t we? Can’t nobody be fruitful and multiplied like God’s people, Israel, nobody. So, that’s how it was in Egypt, every time you look around, you are looking at a Hebrew Israelite. Instead of seeing men with no facial hair, now, you are seeing BLACK men in beards and locks everwhere.
This is just more proof of the differences between the Hebrew Israelites and the Egyptians.
8 Now there arose up a new king over Egypt, which knew not Joseph. 9 And he said unto his people, Behold, the people of the children of Israel are more and mightier than we: 10 Come on, let us deal wisely with them; lest they multiply, and it come to pass, that, when there falleth out any war, they join also unto our enemies, and fight against us, and so get them up out of the land.
Let us stop right here for a moment and pick back up here the next time we come back together on “Let Us Tell Are Real Black History.”
