For a long time I've pictured the Earth as an orange. First a little spot of mold appears then, the mold is fruitful and multiplies. The mold does great until the orange is all used up, then the mold dies too.

If the first five billion was great then the next five billion should be even better, and the next ten billion even better. Right?
