Former Secretary of State Colin Powell had harsh words for both Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump in a number of leaked emails. He called Trump a "national disgrace and an international pariah," and criticized Clinton's "hubris." USA Today's Susan Page discusses on CBSN.

Former Secretary of State Colin Powell described Donald Trump as a “a national disgrace” and an “international pariah. These remarks occurred in a June email to journalist Emily Miller. Powell also wrote that Trump “is in the process of destroying himself, no need for Dems to attack him. Paul Ryan is calibrating his position again.” In a later email, Powell went after Trump for being a part of a racist movement that accuses president Obama of not being born in the US. Powell has said he has no further comment about these emails, and he does not deny them.
