What A Great Speech By President Obama. Obama's speech emphasized the struggles Us African Americans have been though and that the community is stronger and we have made progress. The African American story is a story of pain anger and happiness. without African Americans America wouldn't be America. Without Michael Jackson Langston Hughes Ella Fitzgerald Oprah Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr Malcolm X Colin Powell And Barack and Michelle Obama and countless other names. African Americans have fought and died for this country they have dedicated themselves to this country. If you claim to know "American History" you don't know African American History.
African American have been demonized as " Thugs" President Obama as been demonized as a Muslim a " Cop Hater" which is totally untrue. after being shipped on boats lynched bombed at spit the African-American Community is stronger today than we were 50 years ago From Slavery to Jim Crow who the first African American president of the United States of America Barack H. Obama. this Museum represents a people's Journey a journey which has had pain Triumph this Museum represents America's best and worst where America comes Two-Face itself this Museum represents the struggles of the community from the SCLC to the SNCC to NAN to BLM these groups have fought for the well-being of African-American for years.
This Museum opens up in a time of a divided political season it comes after 2 innocent black men were killed. it comes in a time where the Republican Presidential Nominee incites Racism s*xism and Bigotry. But the NAAMOHC reminds us that as a Country we shall overcome it was preached by Jackie by Jesse by Rosa and Barack. As A African American I am proud we have our own museum It is a Great time to be alive we Have the nation's first African American President Barack H. Obama opening the Nation's first Black National Museum.
It was Black folks which made MADE AMERICA GREAT! it was Blacks who built walls it was A Black Man who invented the traffic stop and the potato chip. it was black people who made the Blues it was black folks who sang spiritual hymns in the midst of slavery and Jim Crow. America better be thankful to African Americans because without African Americans America wouldn't be great as an African American and proud of my Heritage my culture and where I come from from slavery to Jim Crow to the first African American President Barack H. Obama the African Americans has crossed many rivers to get where they are and the African Americans journey is a people's Journey the African American story is an American story.
