Giuliani backs Trump’s claim that Hillary cheated on Bill
By Marisa Schultz
WASHINGTON — Rudy Giuliani drudged up past Bill Clinton infidelities during testy Sunday appearances and argued he’s the “right person to level this charge.”
In a heated exchange on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Giuliani repeated Donald Trump’s accusation over the weekend that Hillary Clinton is an adulteress.
The former mayor and top Trump surrogate said the unsubstantiated charge is “fair game.”
Program host Jake Tapper shot back: “Just to make stuff up? Just wild accusations Hillary Clinton’s cheating on Bill? No proof of it whatsoever? Everything’s fair game?”
Giuliani responded: “That was a sarcastic remark pointing out that Bill Clinton has, you know, quite a past and Hillary Clinton has done quite a job on attacking the people who were victims of Bill Clinton. And not only that, she poses as a feminist and she’s taken money from countries that stone women, kill women …”
Tapper pressed on whether Giuliani and Trump should be the ones making cheating allegations, but Giuliani tried to argue that adultery isn’t the issue but how Hillary Clinton treated Bill’s accusers.
“It isn’t the marriage, it’s the way she goes on the attack and tries to hurt victims of s*xual predators. She is the one that says victims should be taken seriously,” Giuliani said.
