There is nothing wrong with a Black person "talking white" or speaking correct english. At least with correct english I can understand what you're saying. If you want to succeed in life one must know how to communicate with the masses. I grew up in a mixed neighborhood and had a mixture of friends who once accused me of "talking white". They forget I grew up in the NOI so of course I was trained rigorously on the right way to speak. Even now I still get people that say things like that to me and saying that I'm too articulate and well spoken, and not like regular black women. Funny thing is out of all of these black women who accused me of talking white, I was the one who knew the most about black history and our cultural legacy. My real issues is that white people expect us not to be on their level, and sometimes when we talk, dress, or act crazy, they feed off that.
