I believe Obama should have done more to help the Black community, but I personally think that providing healthcare to more people was one of the best efforts Obama ever made. A lot of people don't realize that Obamacare and the Affordable Care Act are the same thing. They've done polls that show when you call it ACA people approve of it, but when you say Obamacare they get mad as hell. That goes to show you that the Republicans knew what they were doing by tying the ACA directly to the President because most of their real problem with Obama never had to do with his policies, but everything to do with their hatred of a Black president. Something like 5 million people are set to be kicked off the program if it is repealed. I wonder if those fools even realize what they were voting for. They want to see Obamacare dismantled, but when they and their loved ones get sick, disabled, and actually NEED the insurance, they're gonna try to set up a GoFundMe page to help pay for their loved one's medical bills. Personally, I still feel that if the insurance companies weren't so greedy and constantly trying to gouge people for money, the ACA would work just fine for ALL people. In fact, why isn't health care a basic right in this country? Why do we have to pay exorbitant rates in the FIRST place? You have a system in place that's intent on making us fat and keeping us sick so that we spend more money on pharmaceutical drugs, but yet they don't want to make healthcare affordable for their citizens. It doesn't make sense. I don't understand why health insurance isn't just taken out of a percentage of one's paycheck. In other words, even if you make less than others, as long as you pay your percentage (the percent is the same for everyone no matter how much you make) then you should be able to have health care.

I agree 100% it should never have been called Obamacare. It was an act of Congress, the Affordable Care Act, keyword "affordable".

I agree with Bernie on this one, just go Medicare for all and be done with it.

Sister Muhammad, those Republicans don't want to hear that fixed to the affordable care act. Wasn't the affordable care act a Republican bill in the first place?

According to the following article:

There was a Republican bill in the Senate that looked a whole lot like Obamacare, but it wasn’t the only GOP bill on Capitol Hill, it never came to a vote and from what we can tell, plenty of conservative Republicans didn’t like it.

Looks like Democrats and Republicans are on the same team after all.
