Steve Schmidt: Comey firing an enormous abuse of power by Trump

To all:

I have long believed that a President can fire an FBI Director for any reason, or for no reason at all. I'm not going to spend time on the decision or the way it was executed. I hope you won't either. It is done, and I will be fine, although I will miss you and the mission deeply.

I have said to you before that, in times of turbulence, the American people should see the FBI as a rock of competence, honesty, and independence. What makes leaving the FBI hard is the nature and quality of its people, who together make it that rock for America.

It is very hard to leave a group of people who are committed only to doing the right thing. My hope is that you will continue to live our values and the mission of protecting the American people and upholding the Constitution. If you do that, you too will be sad when you leave, and the American people will be safer.

Working with you has been one of the great joys of my life. Thank you for that gift.

The stated rationale for Comey’s firing delivered Wednesday by principal deputy White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders was that he had committed “atrocities” in overseeing the FBI’s probe into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server as secretary of state, hurting morale in the bureau and compromising public trust.

Which was the LIE they was telling but they saw that the people was not buying that one at all.

Now it is leaks to the Washington Post now! Those was the same LIES they said was FAKE NEWS and don't worry about it earlier, Steven. OK!!!

I hope you were paying careful attention to what President Tump said on Lester Holt's show tonight. It confirms my theory.

The Washington Post reported the leak about Flynn two weeks after Sally Yates ran to the White House with the same information, that she got from the FBI, that the Post then leaked after she was fired. Trump's biggest issue is the leaks, and this one came from the FBI, passed to Yates, then passed to the Post. Get it?
