The popularity of the AR (Armalite Rifle), or MSR (Modern Sporting Rifle) as it is sometimes called, has grown tremendously over the last 40 years.

That man would find it very hard to buy a house or a car but that same man at 17 years old can go and buy a AR-15 assault weapon in Florida with relative ease, over the counter and without a background check. Is now the right time to speak on this subject? So far, all I see the countries government, state legislators doing about this issue is praying to GOD about the death of innocent children and no legislation to curve access from the wrong people buying weapons.

If you were praying for them you wouldn’t denigrate others who are praying for them.

Sir, I am not denigrating others who are praying for them. I love to see our government officials praying but that is not what we send our leaders to Washington for, we send our politicians to Washington to write laws that will keep our citizens safe. You remember Las Vegas, back in Oct 02 where 59 killed, more than 500 injured don't you? Was anything done after that shooting? Prayer was done their too but no gun legation was passed into our nations laws then too.

More legislation is not the answer. Enforce the laws on the books and don’t restrict citizens from using guns for self defense.

The ATF asked 23 questions ranging from what manufacturers charged for wholesale bump stocks to how dealers marketed the accessories. Many of the nearly 36,000 comments the ATF received before the commenting period ended in late January didn’t address any of the ATF’s questions. Interestingly, nearly a third of responses were form letters provided by pro- and anti-gun control advocacy groups. An analysis by The Trace found that 20 percent of the comments were anti-regulation form letters comparable to a form created by Gun Owners of America. On the other side, about 6 percent of pro-regulation form letters were created using a form created by the Giffords Law Center, a gun control group. (The Trace is a gun-violence-focused publication backed by Everytown for Gun Safety, a gun control advocacy group funded in part by Michael Bloomberg, who owns Bloomberg LP, the parent company of Bloomberg.com.) The majority of comments, however, weren’t formulaic letters provided by advocacy groups. To analyze the responses, The Trace downloaded more than 32,000 comments and reviewed them using a computer script, which allowed them to be classified as either form letters or unique remarks. The Trace reviewed 1,000 unique submissions manually, characterizing them as pro- or anti-regulation. That manual check was then extrapolated to represent the larger data set. Between form comments and unique comments, 85 percent advocated against regulation while 13 percent argued for regulation. Two percent of responses didn’t take a clear side. The Trace’s analysis also found that those opposed to regulation typically wrote longer comments than those in favor. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/20...

Your question is nonsense Ron. That’s what you do to avoid discussion. Hillary’s comment added thousands to the NRA membership. Just like your latest hysteria is.

This blog is not about Hillary FuFu, This post is about, at least 17 people were killed when a teen opened fire at a high school in Parkland, Florida, on Wednesday afternoon. It is you who brought up Hillary in your effort to change the subject, when you know you are wrong as hell and can't think of a defense to support the actions of people that commit mess distraction by using attack style weapons, which you don't want to stop through stricter gun registration laws. Steve, my question is nonsense to a person that see's for himself that he can't defend that LIE, meanwhile our children are being killed for the profits to the weapons industry or the industrial military complex in this country, which you support. WHY? In that light, you too have blood on your hands, which can be corrected when you can see the light of day. That was a sick act by people like yourself, that this was not a defensive act of murder of innocent children and you don't want to correct this action. WHY?

For a man who's son was murdered by a senseless act with a firearm, you should want to support legislation to make it harder for these sick individuals to get their hands on a attack weapon, period. Steve, I am amazed that you Steve, that you want to attack me for taking a stance against people who have no business with their hands on such a firearm that KILLED your boy. Your vision should be clearer than this. WOW!!!

Well, I am, believe me, I am. I can understand the love you have for your son. Now with that said, Not letting him down, what does that have to do with legislating stricter gun registration laws to keep such weapons out of the hands of people who has violent tendencies.

Gun registration, or legislation? It depends what you have in mind Ron. If you tried to take away our ARs we would be shoulder to shoulder.

Nobody is talking about taking a damn thing from you Steve. Gun laws, gun legislation can be made to keep people from getting a licensed weapon, like people on the terror watch list, The mentally ill, People who has been convicted of a violet felony. A 17 year old can't go to a bar and buy him a drink but yet that same 17 year old can go to a gun shop and buy a AR 15 assault rifle, do you see anything wrong with that?

There’s some issues with with watch lists and mental issues Ron, a small matter of civil liberties, but I hear talk the Democrats want to reinstate an AR ban.

I have later understood him to be Identified as a 19year old former student Nikolas Cruz and 17 dead.

Now that we’ve got the age correct, what was the bigger factor, that an 18 year old can buy a rifle, or that the FBI had information in early January (see something say something) that had they handled properly, would have prevented these 17 murders?

You still can't get a Driver's License until you are 21 years old but at 18 years old, you are permitted to accumulate an arsenal of assault weapons and no light went off, no bells, no whistles not even that law came to stop this school shooting. This is a failure to flag former student Nikolas Cruz as a potential domestic terrorist and for that, children was murdered under the Trump Administration watch. Steve, I am talking about children being murdered at a place we consider safe for our children to go to, to learn Steve, not to loose their lives at. If nothing is done, more of our children will DIE, do you want to see that?

Find out why the FBI failed to protect those people. Governor Scott wants Wray to resign, but this FBI failure goes back to the Obama administration. It was another James Comey f up.

I thought you knew what you was talking about. You can't answer this question: This is a failure to flag former student Nikolas Cruz as a potential domestic terrorist and for that, children was murdered under the Trump Administration watch. Steve, I am talking about children being murdered at a place we consider safe for our children to go to, to learn Steve, not to loose their lives at. If nothing is done, more of our children will DIE, do you want to see that? No! No! Steve, That gun law needs to be changed to 21 years old. Changing that law can start in the Republican Controlled state of Florida.

The rationale for a 21 year old drinking age is that somehow between the age of 18 and 21 a person will become a responsible drinker. That in itself is questionable logic. But now you are trying to tell me sometime between the age of 18 and 21 a person will become a responsible mass murderer? What a crock of ****.
