Systemic Injustice is a 30-minute special hosted by RT America correspondent Ashlee Banks, focusing on issues related to the black community in the United States. Banks first sits down with Roland Martin, host and Managing Editor of TV One’s “News One Now,” Cori Bush, co-director of “The Truth Telling Project” and organizer with Ferguson Frontline, and Elder CD Witherspoon, candidate for president of the NAACP’s Baltimore City branch. The panel discusses how the mainstream media has demonized the Black Lives Matter movement. Then, Banks speaks with activist and hip hop artist Yarima Karama about Marcus Garvey and the ‘Back to Africa’ movement and its relevance today. Banks also delves deep into the 2016 elections and whether it’s a good choice for African-Americans to vote for Hillary Clinton. She speaks with Congressman Gregory Meeks (D-NY) and activist Basheer Jones on the issue. This and more in Systemic Injustice.
