According to reports indicated the suspected shooter, a 21-year-old from the Dallas area, posted a manifesto to the 8chan message board hours before the shooting, in which he allegedly professed his white nationalist ideology and his belief that Texas is under “Hispanic invasion.”

A ever interesting and disturbing read. Steve, can't you see that this documents represent the policy tenets, however crude, of many on the Right who are instigating an uprising in this country as they promote their racist and xenophobic ideologies?
You say that Patrick Crusius is neither a terrorist nor a white nationalist. The fact that he posted that hate proves a few things.
1. He was inspired by the words of Trump, when he called the movement on are southern boarders a Hispanic Invasion.
2. Which bother me is that sick minded white man to feel justified in his belief that he was simply defending his country. This Steve is right out of the play book of White Nationalist.
3. This man is using for motivation and thoughts of some Great Replacement. Steve, you remember this chant, don't you: "They Will Not Replace Us."
Now how can you read what this cold blooded murderer had to say and then posted and not see the connection of White Nationalist terrorism all through these words?

Over the course of Trump’s first year in office a total of 112 people died in 10 separate mass shooting events. The list includes the nation’s deadliest attack in Las Vegas on October 1, 2017 which claimed 58 lives and injured over 800 victims and still, nothing was done.

The writings from the suspected shooter said the attack was in response to a “Hispanic invasion” of Texas, warning that the population will make Texas and other states a “Democrat stronghold” that will allow the party to win future presidential elections.

The suspected shooter also wrote that immigration can only be detrimental to the future of the United States and “make one of the biggest issues of our time, automation, so much worse.”
“It makes no sense to keep on letting millions of illegal or legal immigrants flood into the United States, and to keep the tens of millions that are already here,” the manifesto said. “Invaders who also have close to the highest birthrate of all ethnicities in America.”

"The American lifestyle affords our citizens an incredible quality of life. However, our lifestyle is destroying the environment of our country. The decimation of the environment is creating a massive burden for future generations. Corporations are heading the destruction of our environment by shamelessly overharvesting resources. This has been a problem for decades. For example, this phenomenon is brilliantly portrayed in the decades old classic “The Lorax”. Water sheds around the country, especially in agricultural areas, are being depleted. Fresh water is being polluted from farming and oil drilling operations. Consumer culture is creating thousands of tons of unnecessary plastic waste and electronic waste, and recycling to help slow this down is almost non-existent. Urban sprawl creates inefficient cities which unnecessarily destroys millions of acres of land. We even use god knows how many trees worth of paper towels just wipe water off our hands. Everything I have seen and heard in my short life has led me to believe that the average American isn’t willing to change their lifestyle, even if the changes only cause a slight inconvenience. The government is unwilling to tackle these issues beyond empty promises since they are owned by corporations. Corporations that also like immigration because more people means a bigger market for their products. I just want to say that I love the people of this country, but god damn most of y’all are just too stubborn to change your lifestyle. So the next logical step is to decrease the number of people in America using resources. If we can get rid of enough people, then our way of life can become more sustainable."

The vast majority of illegals come here for economic reasons, not asylum. I had a very close friend who came here from El Salvador about 30 years ago who genuinely was seeking asylum. Of all the many migrants I've known, he was the only one.
