In 300 pages, House lays out evidence for Trump impeachment By LISA MASCARO and MARY CLARE JALONICK WASHINGTON (AP) — The House released a sweeping impeachment report Tuesday outlining evidence of what it calls President Donald Trump’s wrongdoing toward Ukraine, findings that will serve as the foundation for debate over whether the 45th president should be removed from office. The 300-page report from Democrats on the House Intelligence Committee makes the case that Trump misused the power of his office and, in the course of their investigation, obstructed Congress by stonewalling the proceedings. Based on two months of investigation, the report contains evidence and testimony from current and former U.S. officials. “The impeachment inquiry has found that President Trump, personally and acting through agents within and outside of the U.S. government, solicited the interference of a foreign government, Ukraine, to benefit his reelection,” said Chairman Adam Schiff in the report’s preface.

“The evidence that we have found is really quite overwhelming that the president used the power of his office to secure political favors and abuse the trust American people put in him and jeopardize our security,” Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, D-Calif., told The Associated Press.
“It was a difficult decision to go down this road, because it’s so consequential for the country,” he said. But “the president was the author of his own impeachment inquiry by repeatedly seeking foreign help in his election campaigns.”
Schiff added: “Americans need to understand that this president is putting his personal political interests above theirs. And that it’s endangering the country.”
In a statement, White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham said, “Chairman Schiff and the Democrats utterly failed to produce any evidence of wrongdoing by President Trump.” She said the report “reads like the ramblings of a basement blogger straining to prove something when there is evidence of nothing.”

Ron, when I go to your link the very first sentence is an unproven allegation:
"President Donald Trump seriously misused the power of his office for personal political gain by seeking foreign intervention in the American election process..."
If you can show the proof of this allegation is contained in this 300 page report I'd be happy to see it, otherwise I have no reason to read any further.

“Whatever you can do, it’s very important that you do it if that’s possible,”

If memory serves, that was a quote from Sen. Bob Menendez when he said: "All roads lead to Russia with the president. Every time that there is an issue or a conflict, it seems that Russia ends up winning"
New Jersey Senator Bob Menendez said it's no coincidence that Russia continues getting foreign policy victories over the Trump administration.
Menendez, the ranking Democrat on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, told ABC News' This Week Sunday that President Donald Trump's troop withdrawal in Syria and accusations he "extorted" Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky left one clear winner: Russia.
He warned that the Kurdish people are under grave threat of "ethnic cleansing" in the wake of Trump's Syria pullout and he proposed sanctions on both Turkey and Russia. The senator said Trump "betrayed" America's Kurd allies and said the administration's purpose becomes clear when one analyzes why the Russians keep "winning."
"[Pulling out of Syria] is a betrayal of our foreign policy to the Russians, who are the big winners in this, and that's part of the problem here," Menendez said Sunday. "All roads lead to Russia with the president. And every time that there is an issue or a conflict, it seems that Russia ends up winning."
