'They're not going to f**king succeed': Top generals feared Trump would attempt a coup after election, according to new book

By Jamie Gangel, Jeremy Herb, Marshall Cohen, Elizabeth Stuart and Barbara Starr, CNN

'Washington (CNN)The top US military officer, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Gen. Mark Milley, was so shaken that then-President Donald Trump and his allies might attempt a coup or take other dangerous or illegal measures after the November election that Milley and other top officials informally planned for different ways to stop Trump, according to excerpts of an upcoming book obtained by CNN.

The book, from Pulitzer Prize-winning Washington Post reporters Carol Leonnig and Philip Rucker, describes how Milley and the other Joint Chiefs discussed a plan to resign, one-by-one, rather than carry out orders from Trump that they considered to be illegal, dangerous or ill-advised.

"It was a kind of Saturday Night Massacre in reverse," Leonnig and Rucker write.

The book, "I Alone Can Fix It," scheduled to be released next Tuesday, chronicles Trump's final year as president, with a behind-the-scenes look at how senior administration officials and Trump's inner circle navigated his increasingly unhinged behavior after losing the 2020 election. The authors interviewed Trump for more than two hours.

The book recounts how for the first time in modern US history the nation's top military officer, whose role is to advise the president, was preparing for a showdown with the commander in chief because he feared a coup attempt after Trump lost the November election.
The authors explain Milley's growing concerns that personnel moves that put Trump acolytes in positions of power at the Pentagon after the November 2020 election, including the firing of Defense Secretary Mark Esper and the resignation of Attorney General William Barr, were the sign of something sinister to come.

Milley spoke to friends, lawmakers and colleagues about the threat of a coup, and the Joint Chiefs chairman felt he had to be "on guard" for what might come. WOW!!!

"What they are trying to do here is overturn the government," said the friend, who is not named, according to the authors. "This is all real, man. You are one of the few guys who are standing between us and some really bad stuff."

If Milley spoke and did those things, he's a traitor. If he didn't, then Phil and Carol have given you another work of fiction. I support the President Ron. That's not facism.

"I Alone Can Fix It," First of all, no one man can fix Democracy but one man can light the directions in which this country form of democracy into A fascist government by using THE LIES like Hitler did to German’s. The results was 6 million jewish death.

Now, I never thought that this could happen here but it’s happening with this small step of restricting voters rights.

Steve do you support restrictions of minority votes?

All the king's horses and all the king's men, can't put democracy together again. You f**ked up Ron. You defrauded the electors and there is no longer, "a peaceful transfer of power." Look at the arc of Biden's presidency and it's plain to see there will be no recovery. You'll get a second term of Trump and after that... Chaos.

Steve, thank you for that information, now back to my question Steve: Steve do you support restrictions of minority votes?

Dea. Ron Gray Sr.
Look at you Ron, acting all innocent, like this has anything to do with minority voters' RIGHTS. Think back to when Biden got Cyburn's endorsement. At that moment YOU ALL decided to weaponize Covid-19 to bring Trump down. You did that by the abuse of the state elections boards and the abuse of mail-in voting. And you Ron, through it all, were THE VOICE OF BLACK IN AMERICA. Now you must pay for your sin, and if minority voters suffer, it is all YOUR fault.

Yes Ron. why wouldn't I? I told you, I support everyone voting on our National Election Day. Fix the problem with long lines and it will be all good. If you have a good excuse we'll send you an absentee ballot. By the way, today I heard for the first time a Democrat Senator say how the problem of long lines can be fixed. It's as simple as finding more election workers for those precints. Guess where I heard that historic admission?

Steve, my question was: Steve do you support restrictions of minority voting rights?

Steve YOUR WORDS: Yes Ron. why wouldn't I? I told you, I support everyone voting on our National Election Day. Fix the problem with long lines and it will be all good.

Fix the problem with long lines and it will be all good.

MY REPLY: So you support restrictions of minority voting rights because you think it would fix the problem of long Lines.

No Steve, supporting voter restriction eliminated the number of polling places in poor wards, Which Coles D’s long lines in the first place now you want to further restrict voting legislation to fix a problem that was no problem at all in the first place.

Steve that problem was created by the Republican Party.

You support voter restriction laws because you know for a fact that the Republican party cannot win The White House again unless they cheat and this is the effects of cheating, called voter restriction laws, in 46 States throughout this country which you support.

Steve you are the same person who cannot tell me why you believe Trump and THE BIG LIE. WOW!!!

Do you have that proof yet?

Sunday, July 18th 2021 at 8:29PM
Dea. Ron Gray Sr.
I think you are lying about the cause of long lines. Show me the proof Ron. The people in poor precincts lack a sense oif civic duty and that's why there are long lines.

So, you want proof, take a look: Southern U.S. states have closed 1,200 polling places in recent years: rights group
Andy Sullivan

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - States across the American South have closed nearly 1,200 polling places since the Supreme Court weakened a landmark voting-discrimination law in 2013, according to a report released by a civil-rights group on Tuesday.

This my proof, verifiable proof and this is what you support? Now the sad part about you is, all of a sudden you going to act like you did not know about what they had did,, which you support.

Are you telling me polling places were closed during a PANDEMIC Ron?

Why Are Lines at Polling Places So Long? Math

It’s a resource allocation problem, a tough challenge in “queueing theory.”

The Causes and Impacts of Long Lines

The report Managing Polling Place Resources, ( http://web.mit.edu/vtp/Managing%20Polling%... ) by Charles Stewart III, was released by the Caltech/MIT Voting Technology Project in 2015, in response to the long lines that beset the 2012 presidential election and the work that followed to reduce the likelihood that such lines would arise again.

That report provides an accessible overview of queuing theory and its application to polling places. Readers unfamiliar with that short report are encouraged to consult it. In light of changes to polling place requirements and procedures precipitated by the COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve revisited the report again. Here, we touch on the six main takeaways from the report, and note how those takeaways apply now in light of COVID.

If past elections are any indication, at least some voters will wait hours in line to cast their ballot. So what causes long lines on Election Day — and how can officials prevent them?

So what causes long lines on Election Day — and how can officials prevent them?

There are several contributing factors. In Wisconsin’s April primary, voters faced a new photo ID requirement, for example. In North Carolina this fall, some counties eliminated early voting locations. In Florida in 2012, state officials drastically reduced the number of early voting days. Less than two weeks ago, in Texas, there were reports of vote-flipping and other machine malfunctions. These issues can certainly cause backups on Election Day.

But how resources — such as voting machines, poll workers, and poll books — are allocated to each polling location can also make a big difference.

Did you take the time to read my last link? In that link describes how polling places were closed and that’s how those Long lines and long hours waiting to vote Steve.

Your question should be is how systematic racism is now affecting minority voting places?

Monday, July 19th 2021 at 12:38AM
Dea. Ron Gray Sr.
There's no such thing as systemic racism Ron. You're just obsessed with how folks look. You're sick Ron. The long lines aren't about how folks look.

Steve, it is here, well and alive.

Institutional racism

Description

Institutional racism, also known as systemic racism, is a form of racism that is embedded through laws and regulations within society or an organization. It can lead to such issues as discrimination in criminal justice, employment, housing, health care, political power, and education, among other issues. Wikipedia

The latest case of this happening is in Texas where, the Democratic Party is now trying to generate a tension in Washington DC to stop these restrictive voting laws to take place.

This shows Katie Hobbs YES vote in 2011 to reduce polling locations in Arizona from 200 to 60. That resulted in headline-generating long lines in the 2012 election, and the PREDICTABLE claims from FOLKS like YOU Ron, that the long lines were targeted at COLORED folks.
