Trump telling Republicans not to vote is the GOP's worst nightmare

Trump is throwing a tantrum disguised as a political strategy. And it will backfire.

Former President Donald Trump is taking his commitment to 2020 election disinformation to the next level — and it should be terrifying his own party.

Seemingly out of the blue, Trump issued an odd but potentially highly consequential statement Wednesday:

If we don’t solve the Presidential Election Fraud of 2020 (which we have thoroughly and conclusively documented), Republicans will not be voting in ‘22 or ‘24. It is the single most important thing for Republicans to do.

Trump’s brief missive is a tantrum masquerading as political strategy, and its bizarre demands raise … many questions. None of them are comforting for the GOP.

First of all, what could it possibly mean to “solve” the fraud? Trump’s allegations about what was questionable about 2020 has always involved throwing lies at the wall to see if anything would stick:

The part that I am missing Steve, is your evidence that the Voting machine was rigged, can you do that?

Steve, I have been asking you this question for over eight months and you have not come up with 💩 yet, WHY?

I got proof that the story about the rigged voting machine was made up from one testimony, that was given under oath.

How can you fix something that is already fixed according to our current voting LAW?
