Ron, a lower age of consent applies to boys as well as girls, correct? The age of consent is a separate issue from age mismatch. Just because I can marry an 18 year old but I can't marry a 16 year old is a moot point. Neither age is appropriate for me. But remember when King David was old and decrepit, they brought him young girls to warm him in his bed.

Sixteen is an adult Ron. When I was sixteen I hitchhiked from southeast PA to Mississippi to see my fifteen-year-old girlfriend whose parents had moved her there, then she and I hitchhiked from Mississippi to Memphis, where we parted ways, and I continued on to Wisconsin, then to Minnesota, then back to PA. It took about a month and was very eventful. If a sixteen-year old wants to get married, let them. Marriage is an institutiion ordained by God, a holy union.
