Uvalde survivor and victim's parents deliver emotional testimony at House hearing on gun violence
Washington — A young student who survived the mass shooting at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas, was among of group of witnesses who testified before House lawmakers at a hearing on gun violence, recalling how she smeared the blood of a classmate on herself to appear as if she were dead.
Miah Cerrillo, a fourth grader at Robb Elementary School, appeared in a prerecorded video before the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform on Wednesday morning. The hearing came hours before the House was set to begin debate on a package of gun restrictions aimed at preventing future mass shootings.
Detailing one of the most horrific accounts of the massacre, Cerrillo said her class was watching a movie when her teacher got an email and went to lock the classroom door, making eye contact with the gunman in the hallway. She said the teacher told them to hide behind the teacher's desk and their backpacks. The gunman went into an adjoining classroom before coming into hers, where he told her teacher "good night" and shot her in the head, Cerillo said. He then shot Cerrillo's classmates and a whiteboard.
This is a story you got to see in it's entirety. From the news of this day, I can still hear some republican law makers still, at this point wants to put the blame elsewhere, instead of dealing with the loopholes in our nations gun laws. These are the people who need to be weeded out of office and if the people, vote them back in, then you can see where the problem, truly is. this killing was just one, within tens day from one another that involed young 18 year old boys armed with the weapon of choice and that was the AR-15.
I’m not infringing on responsible adults rights to bear arms. Steve, The right to bear arms comes with responsibilities that this 18-year-old boy did not have by his actions of killing 19 babies and 2 Adult. Steve, Owning a weapon comes with responsibilities, is that correct?
What should be done to a person who can not handle their Responsibilities?
Why should you want a 18 hypothetical misfit as you call him to have a weapon of war anyway?
Have you forgot just 10 days earlier a 18-Year-Old White Supremacist Terrorist Murdered 10 In Buffalo Mass Shooting, Twitter Points Out The Racism, Steve?
Can you say, there is no more 18--year-olds like this out that?
Yes there are 18 year-olds out there like that Ron, so do something effective and stop trying to grab our guns. Besides, you just generate more gun sales when you sensationalize them.
Steve, raising the gun laws to 21 is not a gun grab, it is a Prevention of more death from those Who have not taken the responsibility seriousness enough to own such a weapon.
I asked you a question earlier and you have not replied, why?

BULL💩 Steve, that is not living in the home of the brave and home of the free. You are willing to live life like someone in a third world country. No, this is the greatest nation on earth and the gun law will change from 18 to 21 in this country and you will have to live with that, GOT IT!!!
P.S. Ron, would you like to guess what was the penalty for the man that murdered my son? With a gun? His third gun felony? Five years after the deed? Take a guess.
I asked you a question earlier and you have not replied, why?

By the way Steve on Aug 13, 2019 · note – a federal appeals court has ruled on July 13, 2021, that the existing minimum age requirement (21 years old) for purchases of handguns from federally licensed gun dealers and they can do the same for military-style weapons as well.
What does "just 10 days earlier an 18-Year-Old White Supremacist Terrorist Murdered 10 In Buffalo Mass Shooting" have to do with me Ron? I have my own loss and injustice to concern me. As long as there are DAs like those in Oakland, California you are stuck with your 18 year old murderers.
It makes me angry Ron. My son's murderer and the Oakland DA came to a plea deal for 18 years. The perpetrator, Artison Manalastas, had previously committed armed robbery, then later went to Federal prison for illegal possession of a fiream by a felon. I told the judge that 18 years was NOTHING, that the man who had shot my second wife's hands off, in Hayward, CA, got 18 years for aggravated mahem, had already done that time and was back on the streets. I told the judge that it will be on his head when this murderer is released in 13 years, when I may no longer be here but my surviving sons will, this murderer will not have been reformed in prison, but will commit further crimes, maybe further murder, since he has already committed one and gotten away with it, why not more?
Thank you Steve for answering my question about your son's murderer. If you want to continue to talk about this blog subject, we can because I don't believe this young thug, knew the kids he was randomly shooting at and killing in cold blood with an AR-15.
The US Justice Department has announced a halt on federal executions after a historic use of capital punishment by the Trump administration, which killed 13 people in executions over six months.
Attorney-General Merrick Garland said he was imposing a moratorium on federal executions while the Justice Department conducts a review of its policies and procedures.
"The Department of Justice must ensure that everyone in the federal criminal justice system is not only afforded the rights guaranteed by the constitution and laws of the United States, but is also treated fairly and humanely," Mr Garland said.
No Steve, Biden gives Garland has indepences so much it looks like Garland is protecting Trump.
Biden said when he introduced Garland as his choice to be the nation's top prosecutor in early January. "I want to be clear to those who lead this department, who you will serve. You won’t work for me. ... Your loyalty is not to me. It’s to the law, the Constitution, the people of this nation, to guarantee justice."
Biden is a f-ucking liar Ron. Of course Garland takes Biden's lead, and Biden said during the "campaign", if that's what you call hiding in the basement and receiving a few occasional honks, that he would eliminate Federal executions. So under BidenGarland your Buffalo boy will not get his due. I call that a YP (your problem.)
Just look at you Steve: "Biden is a f-ucking liar Ron" Steve, I know that you can express yourself better than that! I hope that this young thug Payton Gendron receives his justice due because of law. Steve, his statement that he was motive was to prevent 'eliminating the white race'.
He really sounds like what a PROUD BOY would say. Where do you think he gets this kind of hate from?
Not from the Proud Boys, who are western chauvenists and have never espoused white supremacy. You think we forget that during the debate it was Biden that first named the Proud Boys, not Trump. But we remember Ron, how you spun your fairy tale of the Proud Boys.
I rarely express myself with the F-Word Ron, but there is no other way to describe Biden's foul lying empty soul.
You Will Not Replace Us” is a white supremacist slogan that became popular in early 2017, as did its acronym version, YWNRU. The slogan appeared on white supremacist flyers, banners and graffiti in a variety of places in the first six months of 2017, gaining wider attention when white supremacists used the phrase at several rallies held in Charlottesville, Virginia, culminating in the large and violent Unite the Right event in August 2017.
The slogan is a reference to the popular white supremacist belief that the white race is in danger of extinction by a rising tide of non-whites who are controlled and manipulated by Jews (in fact, one variant of “You Will Not Replace Us” is “Jews Will Not Replace Us”).
Gavin McInnes, the leader of the self-described "Western chauvinist" Proud Boys was invited to attend but declined because of an unwillingness "to be associated with explicit neo-Nazis" although the militia wing of the group the aforementioned Fraternal Order of the Alt-Knights did attend.[21] In June, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center's Hatewatch blog, ahead of the rally, McInnes declared that "we need to distance ourselves from them", but "after backlash to the original disavowal flared-up from Alt-Right circles, the statement was withdrawn and replaced with another distancing the Proud Boys from the event yet also encouraging those who 'feel compelled' to attend".[94]

Proud Boys Zachary Rehl, left, and Ethan Nordean march toward the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. Members of the right-wing extremist group were indicted on charges that they planned and carried out a coordinated attack on the Capitol to stop Congress from certifying Joe Biden's victory in the 2020 presidential election.
Withdraw from race over Proud Boys tie
I spent more than two decades of my professional life fighting hatred and antisemitism in my former role as CEO of the Jewish Federation of Sarasota-Manatee. So when I read that Robyn Marinelli, a candidate for the Sarasota County School Board, is willingly accepting support from the Proud Boys, I cannot adequately express my horror, disgust and fear (“Sarasota Proud Boys activist helping host School Board candidate campaign event,” June 15).
Marinelli claims she did not know of the association. She does now.
Simply put, the Proud Boys are a hate group. They have actively called for violence and perpetuated conflict. They have disrupted School Board meetings and protested outside the homes of School Board members, threatening them with bodily harm.
You are a part of a hate group, are you proud of that?
