Tiffany Cross Calls White Women ‘Biggest Beneficiary’ of Affirmative Action Ahead of SCOTUS Case By Zachary Leeman - White women benefit from affirmative action more than any other group, MSNBC’s Tiffany Cross claimed on Saturday during a panel discussion focused on raising the alarm about affirmative action policies being on the chopping block in the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court is set to hear arguments in two challenges against affirmative action policies at Harvard and the University of North Carolina on Monday. “Now with the court’s conservative majority, this case has a real chance you guys of dismantling affirmative action in a country where despite this, quote, racial reckoning everyone loves to talk about, we’re still very much on the journey to equity and equality,” the Cross Connection host said before jumping into a panel discussion with former Obama administration counselor Christopher Kang and Damon Hewitt, one of the lawyers arguing against the affirmative action challenges in court. “Not only do they privilege family income and what have you, but they’re also literally under-predicting talent and merit among students of color. So schools are depriving themselves of a whole swath of talent of students of color if they only rely on standardized tests,” the attorney said.

Tiffany Cross is wrong. White women are not the biggest beneficiary of Affirmative Action.

Why do you say that Tiffany Cross is wrong Steve? Where is your research to counterbalance your point of view because right now, all you got right now is TALK with no proof at all?

Your article presented no proof backing up Cross's belief that "White Women ‘Biggest Beneficiary’ of Affirmative Action" Ron. Nor did your video explain it. So you go first, where's your proof? Then we'll know who's right and who's wrong. Next time, check your source. Don't be lazy.

Who is Kimberlé W. Crenshaw Ron? Has anyone verified her assertions? The failure of Affirmative Action for "persons of color" and the success of Afirmative Action for persons with wombs both must argue for the elimination of Affirmative Action, if she's right.

You are lacking proof Ron. The reason why more and more women have attended college is because of the women's lib movement. The colleges were always willing to accept them.

I see that you are focusing your attention on the race side of Affirmative Action, you need to look at gender. Steve it comes as a surprise to many to discover that white women have benefited more from affirmative action programs and policies than any other demographic. Here's another damn good point. Employment patterns reveal the same trends. Since the 1970s, African American unemployment rates have consistently remained about double those of whites, with even greater disparity for African American teens. But if we look at unemployment rates by gender, we see that in 2019 unemployment rates for men (3.6%) were nearly the same as for women (3.5%). Maybe even more revealing is the fact that in 2019 white women’s weekly earnings ($840) were higher than Black women’s ($704) and Black men’s ($769). White Women are making more money than Black Men. Steve, all you doing is talking out of the side of your neck, you have not shown me any of your proof about why you say Affirmative Action does not benefit White Women yet, WHY?

Ron, my sister is a year younger than me. We went to the same college at the same time. She had no more trouble getting admitted and graduating than I did and she was in a more demanding major than I. Abolish affirmative action, abolish your racist worldview.

So you have no comment on the FACTS that I put before you, now you want to talk about, some unrelated topic, is that right Steve?

You didn't show me any facts Ron. I asked you who Kimberlé W. Crenshaw is, and you chose to ignore me.

Here you go Steve: Kimberlé Williams Crenshaw (born May 5, 1959) is an American civil rights advocate and a leading scholar of critical race theory. She is a professor at the UCLA School of Law and Columbia Law School, where she specializes in race and gender issues. You can also read more on this subject Steve. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kimberl%C3%A... Here's another damn good point. Employment patterns reveal the same trends. Since the 1970s, African American unemployment rates have consistently remained about double those of whites, with even greater disparity for African American teens. Maybe even more revealing is the fact that in 2019 white women’s weekly earnings ($840) were higher than Black women’s ($704) and Black men’s ($769). THAT IS A FACT no prove me wrong? Show me the proof not just your words Steve, can you do that on your next reply?

It doesn't prove anything Ron. The Supreme Court will overturn Affirmative Action, it has served its purpose.

I am not talking about what will happen, Steve I am talking about The Law of this land NOW, because of affirmative action.

Until that time happens, let us deal with the here and the now Steve. The result we are still dealing with is still The Law of The Land, affirmative action is also has a gender cause that the White Woman took advantage of. Now Steve, if you have any proof to support your claim, It doesn't prove anything, I am proving my case, if you agree with me or not.

No Ron, I didn't understand it. It was written by someone who spins out a bunch of gobbledygook and trys to pass it off as a valid intellectual argument.
