
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever's Box Office Reign Continues in Second Weekend

Marvel Studios' highly-anticipated Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is enjoying notable success at the box office and continues to reign supreme in its second weekend in theaters.
As reported by Variety, the Black Panther sequel earned $17.9 million on its second Friday and is expected to gross approximately $70 million domestically over its second weekend. While this does mark a 60 percent drop from its opening take -- which is to be expected with any superhero film -- its earnings places Black Panther: Wakanda Forever above recent theatrical releases such as The Menu and She Said.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Earns Big
Wakanda Forever's premiere may not have been the largest when it comes to financial performance, but it still managed to break records. The film opened to $181 million, which boosted the Marvel Cinematic Universe film past films such as Hunger Games: Catching Fire for the top spot when it comes to highest-earning November openings.
