And then, on Tuesday afternoon, a stunning development. The Trump Organization was found guilty on criminal tax fraud charges. Jurors rendered a guilty verdict on all of the 17 charges included in an indictment filed last year against the Trump Corporation and the Trump Payroll Corporation, as well as its long-time chief financial officer, Allen Weisselberg. To see such charges levied against a former president’s business just a couple of years since he left office is truly stunning – and completely unprecedented.

What to know about the final public meeting of the Jan. 6 committee:
The committee voted to make criminal referrals to the Justice Department for former President Donald Trump, lawyer John Eastman and unspecified "others." Trump was referred under four criminal statutes: obstructing an official proceeding, making false statements, defrauding the U.S. and inciting an insurrection.
The panel also referred four Republican members of Congress to the House Ethics Committee for ignoring its subpoenas; it did not name the members.
The committee released a 154-page summary of its findings Monday. The full final report is expected to be made public this week. The committee, which was formed in July 2021, spent nearly 18 months investigating the U.S. Capitol attack, which temporarily stopped Congress from certifying the 2020 presidential election results, and the events surrounding it.
1. Obstructing an Official Proceeding. Corruptly obstructing, influencing, or impeding an official proceeding is a felony under U.S. federal law. It was enacted as part of the Sarbanes–Oxley Act of 2002 as a reaction to the Enron scandal, and closed a legal loophole on who could be charged with evidence tampering by defining the new crime very broadly. It later became known for its use as a charge against defendants associated with the 2021 U.S. Capitol attack for attempting to obstruct that year's Electoral College vote count.
2. Making False Statements (18 U.S.C. § 1001) is the common name for the United States federal process crime laid out in Section 1001 of Title 18 of the United States Code, which generally prohibits knowingly and willfully making false or fraudulent statements, or concealing information, in "any matter within the jurisdiction" of the federal government of the United States,[1] even by merely denying guilt when asked by a federal agent.
3. Defrauding The U.S. United States, the Supreme Court of the United States, in an opinion authored by Chief Justice William Howard Taft, held that "To conspire to defraud the United States means primarily to cheat the government out of property or money, but it also means to interfere with or obstruct one of its lawful governmental functions by deceit, craft or trickery, or at least by means that are dishonest."
4. Inciting an Insurrection 18 U.S. Code § 2383 - Rebellion or insurrection 18 U.S. Code § 2383 - Whoever incites, sets on foot, assists, or engages in any rebellion or insurrection against the authority of the United States or the laws thereof, or gives aid or comfort thereto, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.

The election officials in several states, including my state, broke election laws that had been duly enacted by the legislatures, broke them in the name of COVID. As one small example in PA, mail-in ballots were counted up to three days after Election Day. In other states like Georgia and Arizona and again in PA, signature and date requirements on mail-in ballots were relaxed or waived. There are many other examples. Ron, are you denying that COVID was taken advantage of by the Democrats?
NO!!! What I am saying is Republicans also had the right to use mail-in ballots, that were counted up to three days after Election Day as well, Steve.

As Law&Crime has thoroughly explained before under slightly different contexts, the date of the U.S. presidential election is codified in federal statutes. 3 U.S.C. § 1 sets the date as follows: “The electors of President and Vice President shall be appointed, in each State, on the Tuesday next after the first Monday in November, in every fourth year succeeding every election of a President and Vice President.” Similarly, 2 U.S.C. § 7 sets the date for the election of U.S. senators and representatives on the same day. In other words, the date cannot be changed without Congress changing the laws which set the date.

As you can see NOW, there was NO evidence of mail in ballots problems, everything went as Smooth as clockwork and the transfer of power took place without a hitch.
