
Wilt Chamberlain scores 100 points vs New York Knicks
On March 2, 1962, one of the world's greatest professional basketball players, Wilton Norman "Wilt" Chamberlain set the NBA single-game scoring record when he hit 100 points to help the Philadelphia Warriors defeat the New York Knicks by a score of 169-147 in Hershey, Pennsylvania. That scoring record still stands today. Chamberlain dominated the game of basketball with his giant 7 ft.1 inch 275 pound statue.
