Salt-N-Pepa group member DJ Spinderella was born on Aug. 3, 1971, as Deidra Muriel Roper in Brooklyn, New York.
Spinderella produced songs on the group's five studio albums, and they sold over 15 million albums and singles worldwide earning platinum and gold on several songs. The trio went on to become the most successful selling female hip hop act in the ‘90s until they disbanded in 2002.
