Can U teach a group when individuals within the group prefer to be entertained versus learn NEW TIPS for SURVIVAL?

How DID U learn...when those around U are goofing off?

Where U the one GOOFING OFF or LEARNING?


What were the RESULTS in the end?

Did U miss out on some things because U were not a willing learner?

Are U HAP-PY with those results today?

Absolutely not. Unfortunately, since most of that group seems to be young people, they haven't had the life experience to learn the consequences of being uneducated and not being world wise.

Before we can teach anyone, we must first inspire them to the point where they are motivated to learn.

I agree with U 100%.

How DO U inspire someone to the point where they are motivated to learn?

Who inspired U to desire to learn something NEW?

What techniques have U found to really work CONSISTENTLY?

From my experience, I can only seem to TRULY CONTROL the situation by getting student 1:1. I ask whoever is having a challenge and needs me to "BREAK IT DOWN FURTHER" to come to my desk. I have found that in that personal face 2 face environment, I can CONNECT DIRECTLY to their
a) learning style
b) future goals
c) personal interests and background experiences

But in a LARGE GROUP...it seems to be a MASSIVE expectation for public schools to achieve subject mastery or excellence in APPLICATION to survival skills...IMHO.

We can see the RESULTS all around us to confirm/disconfirm.
