Now that deep for real for real. I love it. Just think if when I was in high school that what I am learning now, I could have known then... I probably would have taken more interest and participated more. The teachers I had were good, but these little bits and pieces that are missing like Poseidon was Black would have made a real difference to many of the Black students.
It's not to late to teach our children now. They have to know! "Each One, Teach One"
That's true and I will do my best to teach my little one.
Well Brother Okpara.... Keep Teaching so that We May passs it on to our youth... I studied Greek Mythology in 7th Grade... Was always just infatuated with the Apollo... Hercules... Atlas... BUT I never knew these cats were black....
We must keep in mind that all of these stories are based on African and Greek mythology. The region of Ethiopia is known as the birth place of human kind. So the oldest stories of our life will come from there. Based on DNA and Archeological findings, It is very rational to think and accept that all religions and belief systems of today have their historical and spiritual roots in Africa, created by Ethiopian people for its people. The images of the Gods reflect who they are and the culture in which they live. The Gods were black because they were black.
Wow! Yes, very deep and profound.
