DOers vs. YAPPERS

Without question, our people do more talking than doing. Personally, I'm way too occupied with work than to even receive their gossip. I absolutely LOVE doers.

That being said, if I can teach and/or inspire someone to do rather than talk -- then I do both. Talk AND do. There are others, but unfortunately I believe that we are the minority when it comes to us.

Here is my personal analogy. A CABOOSE CAN'T MOVE THE TRAIN. TAKES A POWERFUL ENGINE.

I see a lot of wasted energy in our community of trying to get the CABOOSE TO DO...but a CABOOSE is going to DO...what a CABOOSE always does...sit in the back and wait to be pulled.

How can more ENGINES find one another to DO more and YAP less?

Yes Irma I see your point also. Some DON'T DO because they think it is the CORRECT THING TO DO at the time that they are NOT DOing. The folks I have to grow in my ability to embrace are those that ATTACK WHAT SOMEONE else is DOing...but then go back to DOing absolutely NOTHING to bring about progress.

Dealing with such a scenario currently. A group of discontents wanted to oust the president of our local chamber of commerce after the Obama win...(she black..they not black). So they bickered, complained and voted her out of office. Then they attempted to kick her out for not paying dues. AS SOON AS SHE PAID HER DUES...the group ceased to meet with the newly "elected officers" or DO ANYTHING. So now a year later...June 2010, the "current" president wants her to come back and be the president again...so things can get done...WTH???

Hey! The investigation has really ONLY just begun. Have a meeting on my calendar tomorrow with our local business development specialist who assisted the founder with the establishment.

For the record I would not hardly call her a TOKEN but a PIONEER of process.

Our local chamber of commerce was actually HER brainchild and HER vision to establish back in 2007.

As a newcomer to the place, I observed during the meetings that most folks were content with her style of leadership...UNTIL...that day in November when Obama beat McCain.

ALL OF SUDDEN...she could DO nothing correct in their eyes.

Our town is <20% African American and so most folks sat back and did not involve themselves EVEN when she was leading the organization. They seemed to think she was doomed from day UNO so they sat back and YAPPED in their homes I guess.

But the organization's malcontents grew loud and obnoxious...(like Obama's TEA BAGGERS TODAY)...in fact by the time of the Obama inauguration...they decided she had to be voted out of office and did so. She received 2 votes-1 from me and her own.

Shortly after that she went through some MAJOR CHEMOTHERAPHY so that became her life purpose to be honest and fair. Her health fighting breast cancer had to come before fighting with simple minded bigots.

There was really no NEED to do anything while she fought for her life and began prioritizing her time/talent/efforts.

Now that she is stronger and appears to NOT NEED THEM...they want her back at the helm-lol.

Now of course this is only an example of DOers vs. YAPPERS.

BUT one that begs the question...WHY CAN'T SOME FOLKS SEEM TO LET DOers GET STUFF DONE WHILE THEY ARE DOing? Support the engine or get off the train?
Personally, I think that after the new officers saw how much WORK it took to run the organization, they began to rethink "HMMM...EXACTLY WHY DID WE WANT TO STOP PROGRESS????"

So what is JUSTICE when it is sometimes JUST US who give a hoot?

I DO NOT believe in WHEEL REINVENTION. Life is waaay tooo short for nonsense.

So what I have DOne is patiently held the organization together by DOing my part as the elected TREASURER. Paying the bills on time, filing the tax returns on time, getting those "dying to be elected" folks to be TRAINED on the NEEDS of the organization's actual members and asking the hard questions, "WHAT ARE WE DOing? WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS FOR THIS ORGANIZATION? WHAT IS THE VISION?"

Honestly, I NEVER sign up for something that I am not prepared to WORK FOR so I just can't relate to people who take over something and have NO VISION for DOing better than what they had before they YAPPED AND DESTROYED. That is how I was taught from home...TAKE WHAT U SEE AND MAKE IT BETTER OR SHUT UP AND GET OUT OF THE WAY OF THOSE WHO ARE WORKING!

So...no...I don't have a desire to REINVENT and START A NEW ORGANIZATION because the one that was launched was perfectly fine...IMHO. It is NOT my personal vision to lead our local chamber of commerce but to work to see it DO what it was set up to DO.

I should know since I am the only one who has remained patiently "DOing" ever since elected to office back in 2007-HA! HA! HA!

The lesson I have learned...DOCUMENT, DOCUMENT, DOCUMENT and know when to fold 'em. Sometimes YAPPERS can give U cancer.

Thank U! I will keep U posted after my meeting tomorrow with the "current" president and our small business specialist. We have to DO things by the BYLAWS and since our small business specialist WROTE them with the founder, it is a time to get BACK TO THE BASICS so we can MOVE FORWARD CORRECTLY AND KEEP THE YAPPERS QUIET-HA! HA!

THAT is how they destroyed things the first time...challenging that the BYLAWS had been ratified,etc. We actually spent 3 meetings arguing over whether or not the founder had ever voted to approve the bylaws when it got started. She did not keep an original with her signature because she did not think it would be DAT DEEP. But it became the thread that once pulled collapsed the hem.

Every little thing that was NOT in the BYLAWS became a reason for "impeachment" in their little minds. YET...once she was out of office...THE BYLAWS WERE NEVER RATIFIED, IMPROVED, CORRECTED OR MENTIONED BECAUSE NOT A SINGLE MEETING WAS EVER CALLED AGAIN-:)

But U live and U learn. I say, "If I aint willing to DIE for the cause...I should NEVER let 'em kill me!"

I understand your vigor, spirit and zeal. However, the scenario you gave of the chamber of commerce is a small problem. Now, if we could focus on resolving the paramount problem all these smaller problems would evaporate, am I right.

Now, the paramount problem is our sovereignty. We need to desire to become a sovereign people or have complete independence from White America on a portion of this continent that we could call our very own country with borders to pursue life, liberty, happiness and prosperity in our own way otherwise any problems we have is moot. Does that make sense to you?

However, I know what is wrong with you. You believe it is impossible that Black Americans could ever inherit a portion of this continent that we could call our very own country. You are as the children of Israel that thought Pharaoh had never met them go, am I right.

So, as you said are you a doer versus a yapper? Are you a doer for you own salvation and sovereignty or a caboose waiting to be pulled by the engine? I am the engine. I want our entire population of Black Americans to become a sovereign people on a portion of this continent that we could call our very own country with borders. Mrs. Joan let me explain a few things to you that you have not thoroughly rationalized.
Firstly, let me explain Liberia. Think of us, Black Americans as one race of people after the Civil War, okay. Due to our ignorance, we divided ourselves that some of us went to Africa and established the country of Liberia. This was very stupid of us to do then because we are not Africans. As the time passed those of us that broke away were no longer a part of those that stayed. Liberians today are not the same people as we are. They have become real African people since they bred themselves with the native Africans. Hopefully, you understand the wisdom I have just given you.

Black America’s homeland is a portion of this continent. Black Americans are a people that were made on this continent. White people of English descent bred themselves with the African slave people they purchased from the slave traders to make Black Americans. Today we are a new breed or race of people that has emerged out of the ashes of slavery and our homeland will be a portion of this continent. God will do for us as God did for the children of Israel in the days of Moses. Again, hopefully you understand the wisdom of what I have just given to you. Everything that I say is going to happen.

Consequentially, you would understand that I am not interest in restoring communities as you have advised. I am interest in acquiring a country for us, which is greater than a community and deeds to property lots, am I right. You are thinking minor. I want to resolve our problems in White America permanently. Therefore, we need a permanent solution. Am I making any sense with you, Mrs. Joan? Again, we are going to inherit a portion of this continent that we could call our very own country with borders to pursue life, liberty, happiness and prosperity in our own way.

Lastly, you asked me sarcastically if I owned any acreage here in White America. No, I do not and neither does any of us own anything in White America. Likewise, even though Hebrew people owned this or that in Egypt, in actuality they had owned anything since Egypt did not belong to them as the real estate of White America does not belong to us. I think that you are confusing yourself and that is understandable since God always send a prophet to a confused people, which is the first sign to the people that God is with us.

You asked me to show you a scriptural reference that supports my stance. Well, I showed you several books of Moses especially the book of Exodus, which is very similar to Black America’s plight in White America. For instance, the real estate of White America is Egypt. The presidency of White America is Pharaoh. The children of Israel are Black Americans. Prophet Harry is similar to Moses.
My inspiration from God is that Moses is my sign to Black Americans, my people. I am to refer always to Moses since you all at the moment I professed Christians. Therefore, you should understand my divine revelations or what I am saying.

The children of Israel were so confused, confounded and ignorant from 400 years of bondage and slavery that they could not believe that God had come for them if you will when Moses came to redeem them. They thought all sorts of things about Moses and perhaps that he was an Egyptian as well trying to confuse and confound them. Get the picture?
Now, understand that my inspiration and guidance comes directly from God and not from the Bible, which is the testimony of the Jewish people to the world of how God has helped them in their times of trouble with other people. So, the Bible is not guiding me. God is guiding me. Common sense would tell you that if the Bible could guide me then there would not be any need for God, am I right.

Mrs. Joan the time will come that you will have to put down the Bible and pick up our religious book that is forthcoming. Our religion is, LIFE. The time will come that I will put the ultimatum to you that you must choose whether you will serve the Christian god (Jesus) or the God that brought you up out of bondage, slavery and subjugation in White America.

When years and years about whild taking training for a nurses aid liscense...we were told document even thing especially a fall out of bed to the tinest scrach because years later you may find your self in court over taht tiny scratch or fall out of bed.

Our group have been documenting our monotering of the Fox cable news channel for 6 years now...NAACP has tought one needs some times as little as 5 years of documatings of some types behavior to even be able take a case to court in the first place. ..

and my N.D Buddhist practice has me seeing all humans as equal therefore I can hold each individual as having unlimited powers to understand that for each action they make there is going to be a consquence coming back at the moment they put their human behavior into practice therefore they and only they are 'responsiable' for their behaviors...
