Ben Carson dives in national polls as support among evangelical voters "SINKS."
Carson support fell seven percentage points in just one month, according to a survey released by Quinnipiac University on Wednesday morning. Once the strongest challenger against GOP front-runner Donald Trump, Carson is now tied for third place with Sen. Ted Cruz (Tex.), each taking 16 percent support.
In a November poll by Quinnipiac, Carson was virtually tied with Trump at 23 percent to Trump's 24 percent. Now Sen. Marco Rubio (Fla.) has surged to second place, taking 17 percent support against Trump's 27 percent.
