Trump refuses to support Paul Ryan, John McCain in upcoming Republican primaries

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is refusing to back House Speaker Paul D. Ryan in his upcoming primary election, saying in an interview Tuesday that he is ¡§not quite there yet in endorsing his party top-ranking elected official.

Trump also said he was not supporting Sen. John McCain in his primary in Arizona, and he singled out Sen. Kelly Ayotte as a weak and disloyal leader in New Hampshire, a state whose presidential primary Trump won handily.

With Ryan Wisconsin primary scheduled for next Tuesday, Trump praised the House speaker underdog opponent, Paul Nehlen, for running ¡§a very good campaign.¡¨ Trump said that Ryan has sought his endorsement, but that as of now he is only giving it very serious consideration.

¡§I like Paul, but these are horrible times for our country,¡¨ Trump said. ¡§We need very strong leadership. We need very, very strong leadership. And I¡¦m just not quite there yet. I'm not quite there yet.

Trumps refusal to back Ryan represents an extraordinary breach of political decorum and signals that the Republican Party remains divided two weeks after a national convention in Cleveland staged to showcase party unity.

WHAT!!! Did Trump give Ryan a ticket to get off the Trump train? Is Trump the voice of The Party?

Steve Williams Tuesday, August 2nd 2016 at 7:01PM

Trump is doing exactly what Ryan did. LOL.

Dea. Ron Gray Sr. Tuesday, August 2nd 2016 at 10:23PM

I don't think it will work for Trump. Trump acts like he don't need The Republican Party, don't he? LOL!!!

Steve Williams Wednesday, August 3rd 2016 at 2:02AM

Speaking of demonizing, I just watched Lawrence O'Donnell demonize non-stop for a full hour, not only Trump but even his sons and Ivanka. I guess he didn't get the Love Message.

Dea. Ron Gray Sr. Wednesday, August 3rd 2016 at 8:12AM

Maybe, however Republican leadership are publicly taking they can't support a man like Trump. Trump himself said He refuses to support Paul Ryan, John McCain in upcoming Republican primaries: Washington Post.

You are witnessing wall watch in the Republican Party as trump wages from with in.

Steve Williams Wednesday, August 3rd 2016 at 8:22AM

If they can't support Trump that's fine.

Dea. Ron Gray Sr. Wednesday, August 3rd 2016 at 4:30PM

Do your support Trump NOW?

Steve Williams Wednesday, August 3rd 2016 at 5:58PM

What I know, is that Trump will win. America will never elect Hillary.

Dea. Ron Gray Sr. Wednesday, August 3rd 2016 at 6:34PM

Do you support Trump Now?

Steve Williams Wednesday, August 3rd 2016 at 9:53PM

There's 3 months to go Ron, and the demonization has already hit a fever pitch. In 3 months I'll tell you who I voted for.

Thanks for this information now back to the topic at hand. Steven, I don not ask you who you are voting for!!! What I asked you was this:

"Do you support Trump Now?

Steve Williams Thursday, August 4th 2016 at 1:11PM

I HOPE for Trump. Whomever gets my vote is whom I support. The last time it was Jill Stein. You excuse yourself with "I don't hear about the Green Party..." You're a free man Ron yet you subject yourself to the media frenzy of the Red and the Blue.

Dea. Ron Gray Sr. Thursday, August 4th 2016 at 2:12PM

You are still avoiding my very simple question to you Steven. "Do you support Trump Now?"

Steve Williams Thursday, August 4th 2016 at 3:24PM

After the 10/25 debate I'll decide whom I support. Is that simple enough for you Ron?

Steve Williams Thursday, August 4th 2016 at 3:25PM

Hopefully Trump will attend.

Dea. Ron Gray Sr. Thursday, August 4th 2016 at 3:39PM

"Do you support Trump Now?"

The KEY WORD IS: "NOW!!!"

Steve Williams Thursday, August 4th 2016 at 3:59PM

It's too early to say. I'm undecided.

Steve Williams Thursday, August 4th 2016 at 4:01PM

The one thing I am decided on Ron, I will never, never, ever, vote for Hillary.

Dea. Ron Gray Sr. Thursday, August 4th 2016 at 7:55PM

Why are you undecided Steven? Once again Steven, I never asked you a thing about who you are going to vote for in this line of questioning, so why are you telling me things that I never asked you in the first place?

So, Why are you undecided Steven?

Steve Williams Thursday, August 4th 2016 at 9:42PM

Because Ron, I'm a supporter of the third-party candidates. They will debate on 10/25 and I will hear them out.

Dea. Ron Gray Sr. Thursday, August 4th 2016 at 9:49PM

Who are the third-party candidates?

Steve Williams Thursday, August 4th 2016 at 11:04PM

Jill Stein and Gary Johnson.

Steve Williams Thursday, August 4th 2016 at 11:10PM

And Darrell Castle is the Constitution Party candidate. There are others.

Dea. Ron Gray Sr. Friday, August 5th 2016 at 9:48AM

OK! these third party tickets can't generate 15% of the voting population GOOD LUCK WITH THAT STEVEN?

Steve Williams Friday, August 5th 2016 at 10:05AM

Did you go to the link Ron? If we had a healthy election system, like Europe, proportional representation, third parties would make a difference. Trump is correct, the system is rigged. Do you know how it got that way? The founders intended the electoral college to safeguard the selection of the President, but that safeguard was hijacked. Do you know how and when?

Steve Williams Friday, August 5th 2016 at 10:08AM

That being said, it would be in my best interest to vote for Trump.

Steve Williams Friday, August 5th 2016 at 10:11AM

But if I vote for Jill and Hillary loses by a slim margin, the media will chalk it up to the Green Party, and that would be worth something.

Dea. Ron Gray Sr. Friday, August 5th 2016 at 12:02PM

YES! Because the Republican control Supreme Court said the monies is speech, even foreign monies are welcome, don't you remember?

Steve Williams Friday, August 5th 2016 at 12:25PM

I'll look it up for you Ron, how we moved from the electors to a quasi popular vote.

Dea. Ron Gray Sr. Friday, August 5th 2016 at 9:52PM

Trump endorses Paul Ryan just few minutes ago. http://www.wgal.com/politics/trump-expecte...

What a clown... And the Republican Party knows it.

Steve Williams Friday, August 5th 2016 at 11:32PM

He endorsed all three. Everyone knew he would.
