New White House Press Secretary Blasts Media Over Crowd Size Reporting
by Phil Helsel

President Donald Trump's press secretary on Saturday slammed what he called inaccurate tweets and reporting that suggested the crowd gathered to watch Friday's inauguration was far smaller than the one that watched Barack Obama's in 2009.

Sean Spicer in his first briefing since the inauguration also warned the media that "we're going to hold the press accountable" and said Trump doesn't need the press.

"As long as he serves as the messenger for this incredible movement he will take his message directly to the American people, where his focus will always be," Spicer said.

An estimated 1.8 million people gathered to watch Obama, the nation's first African-American president, be inaugurated in 2009. The size of the crowd Friday is unclear because the National Park Service, which controls the mall, no longer releases official estimates of crowd sizes.

"These attempts to lessen the enthusiasm of the inauguration are shameful and wrong," Spicer said.

The Park Service said the coverings are translucent decking to protect the National Mall turf, part of a five-year, $40 million project that was completed in 2016.

Let this press conference insult your intelligence again.

Steve Williams Sunday, January 22nd 2017 at 1:43AM

Spicer slammed the press over the FAKE NEWS about the MLK bust.

Dea. Ron Gray Sr. Sunday, January 22nd 2017 at 9:49AM

Steven, talking about FAKE NEWS, in the photo of the crowd scene, which photo has more people, the 2009 inauguration or the 2017 inauguration?

Steve Williams Sunday, January 22nd 2017 at 11:44AM

What about the bust Ron?

Dea. Ron Gray Sr. Sunday, January 22nd 2017 at 3:25PM

You never asked me a question STEVEN until NOW. Now I know what you are doing bot I will answer your question, right now.

Soon after Miller tweeted out an apology for sharing the misinformation, saying that a White House aide confirmed the bust was still in place. "It was obscured by an agent and door," Miller tweeted, and also said he checked twice to see if it in fact had been removed.

Spicer, the same Trump's press secretary accepted the apology, via Twitter, Then this same press secretary later came out to the press conference blowing smoke about that same tweet that he himself accepted the apology for but made no mention of that in the report.

That STEVEN is called alternate FACTS. That is when you use the tools of mixing the truth or telling half of the truth and leaving out the other half. Some people call that tell a LITTLE WHITE LIE. If you noticed, Spicer, the same Trump's press secretary, did not stay on the issue long at all, about 30 seconds.

Now that I have answered your question, let us go back to mine:

"Steven, talking about FAKE NEWS, in the photo of the crowd scene, which photo has more people, the 2009 inauguration or the 2017 inauguration?"

Steve Williams Sunday, January 22nd 2017 at 4:03PM

Well Ron, the biggest problem is the 2017 photo was taken a full 26 minutes earlier than in 2009. Of course Obama also had not yet spawned ISIS in 2009.

Steve Williams Sunday, January 22nd 2017 at 4:10PM

And the media had not yet spawned Michael Moore's gang of felonious rioters.

Dea. Ron Gray Sr. Sunday, January 22nd 2017 at 5:10PM

Hey STEVEN, the question was: "In the photo of the crowd scene, which photo has more people, the 2009 inauguration or the 2017 inauguration?"

Stay focus.

Steve Williams Sunday, January 22nd 2017 at 6:19PM

I say show me a picture taken at 11:30 AM on 1/20/17.

Steve Williams Sunday, January 22nd 2017 at 6:27PM

Or show me a satellite photo of 2017 to compare with this one from 2009.

After you answer my original question of: "In the photo of the crowd scene, which photo has more people, the 2009 inauguration or the 2017 inauguration?"

Steve Williams Sunday, January 22nd 2017 at 9:05PM

In that picture in 2009 it looks like more people. And I believe Sean Spicer, it is FAKE news.

Dea. Ron Gray Sr. Sunday, January 22nd 2017 at 10:46PM

I agree, the photo in 2009 has more people. Sean Spicer in his very first press conference told a damn LIE to the American people trying to defend that LIE trump told.

The first LIE Sean Spicer told, that this was the first time the floor covering was used, they was use during Obama second inauguration. Why would this man LIE about something so trivial?

The next LIE, he told using his own number of 250.000 next 220.000 and the last number 250.000 is only 720.000 people. According to Washington, D.C. Government agencies and federal officials, who coordinated security and traffic management, determined the attendance count to be 1.8 million people based on information collected by several cameras and individuals on the ground during Obama's first inauguration. .

Using Sean Spicer numbers of 720.000 people to 1.8 million, that is no comparison and I don't know why he was told to LIE like that, from the top. Then Sean Spicer stormed out of his first press conference, without taken any questions from the press.

He walked out from the voice of the people. This is just a simple of the next four years, WOW!!!

Here's may reference: WIKIPEDIA https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_inaugu... look down to Crowds and general ticket holders and you will find that quote.

They are LYING to us already. How are we to have faith in this administration, HOW?

Steve Williams Sunday, January 22nd 2017 at 11:25PM

The same way I have faith in the lying media. I don't.

Dea. Ron Gray Sr. Monday, January 23rd 2017 at 8:57AM

WOW!!! I am glad to see that Sean Spicer in his very first press conference LIED to you as well as the American people and already people who voted for Trump is waking up to the FACT that they have been CONNED.

Steve Williams Monday, January 23rd 2017 at 9:17AM

Some HAVE been conned Ron, the MSNBC partisans among them. Watch the BS they are bringing today on the emoluments clause. Fake news all day, every day.

Dea. Ron Gray Sr. Monday, January 23rd 2017 at 11:58AM

Most of us / The American people have been CONNED by the promises of Trump. Trump is now our President and now it is his turn to earn our trust after getting off to a bad start.

Now about FAKE NEWS for a moment. Did you not see and hear those LIES come out of the mouth of Donald John Trump press secretary? Did you not see his expressions as he was telling those LIE? The resource of that footages did come from MSNBC. When you can see this report for yourself, that is not FAKE NEWS.

Now STEVEN if you got any examples of FAKE NEWS with those components in it, please show me that example.

Steve Williams Monday, January 23rd 2017 at 11:59AM

Let's see how they spin the executive order on TPP.

Steve Williams Monday, January 23rd 2017 at 12:00PM

And what do you think was the first question asked? About the stupid emolulents deal.

Dea. Ron Gray Sr. Monday, January 23rd 2017 at 12:36PM

Let's call it "ALTERNATIVE FACTS." Kellyanne Conway now Donald John Trump's senior adviser said it best.

Hey STEVEN, I take it that you don't have any more any examples of FAKE NEWS with those components in it, OK, I don't blame you at all, how can one support a LIE anyway?

Steve Williams Monday, January 23rd 2017 at 3:33PM

Absolutely Ron, ALTERNATIVE FACTS. Are you disappointed with our withdrawal from TPP?

Dea. Ron Gray Sr. Monday, January 23rd 2017 at 4:18PM

We can talk about the TPP on another forum. I take it that you don't have any more any examples of FAKE NEWS with those components in it?

Steve Williams Monday, January 23rd 2017 at 5:25PM

We don't need to talk about TPP at all Ron. It's one of the things we agree on.

Dea. Ron Gray Sr. Monday, January 23rd 2017 at 9:09PM

I believe we agreed on two things Sean Spicer and the ALTERNATIVE FACTS and TPP.

Steve Williams Tuesday, January 24th 2017 at 8:17AM

No, we don't agree on alternative facts, other than they exist.

Dea. Ron Gray Sr. Tuesday, January 24th 2017 at 10:22AM

Sean Spicer tried to use ALTERNATIVE FACTS according to Kellyanne Conway, now Donald John Trump's senior adviser.

ALTERNATIVE FACTS ARE NOW FACTS, THERE LIES, WHICH YOU CAN PLAINLY SEE IN THOSE TWO PHOTO'S.

Steve Williams Tuesday, January 24th 2017 at 4:08PM

I've been watching your alternative facts for months and months and months Ron.

Dea. Ron Gray Sr. Tuesday, January 24th 2017 at 5:19PM

Sorry STEVEN, this blog is about the statement that Donald John Trump's press secretary did, which you agreed with that there was more people in the photo of 2009 President Obamas first inauguration and that is a FACT.

Donald John Trumps Press secretary LIED and you saw it...

Steve Williams Tuesday, January 24th 2017 at 5:26PM

I'm talking about the alternative facts on your sde Ron. Like Trump kept this story alive. That was shown to be a down and dirty lie in the press conference yesterday.

Dea. Ron Gray Sr. Tuesday, January 24th 2017 at 6:03PM

I can't make this 💩 Up Steven, this is story that keeps on giving.

Steve Williams Tuesday, January 24th 2017 at 6:21PM

Comey will be staying on. Excellent move Mr. President.

Dea. Ron Gray Sr. Tuesday, January 24th 2017 at 7:21PM

I like that move as well.
