According to a new poll, a majority of evangelical Christians in the United States believes that poor people in this country are simply “lazy.” Rather than being the victims of poor education, poor economic conditions, a capitalist system that favors the already wealthy, the Religious Right just thinks the poor and destitute are too lazy to get out and find a job.
