The Author Matthew Henson ..... A Negro Explorer at the North Pole

Never described or Supported his Family.

As when with an Inuit Native American woman named Akatingwah, Matthew Henson fathered his only child,

a son named Anauakaq. After 1909 Henson never saw Anauakaq and Akatingwah again.

Hensons, Anauakaq and Akatingwah sometimes faced neighbour children's taunts as

‘kulnocktooko,’ people.
