Parkland teacher responds to Trump's idea

Why would someone with a hand gun that have 9 rounds, run to a gun fight with someone with a AR 15 assault weapon that shots 30 rounds in just 10 seconds?

Just heard this morning that Trump said that he would it. That is something I would like to see because that man has no record of heroism.

The Late Show host ridiculed Trump on Monday night, expressing doubt over Trump’s comments earlier in the day at a gathering of governors at the White House. “You don’t know until you’re tested, but I really believe I’d run in there even if I didn’t have a weapon,” Trump told the group.

Why would anyone with common sense run up against a person who is shooting round at the speed of 30 rounds every 10 seconds without a weapon in their hands, is that how they train the police now?

That sounds really foolish to me.

No!!! I would not run up to a firefight where a Crazy person with a A.R. 15 assault weapon, empty-handed. NO! I would not, would you?

My instinct in such a situation would be to protect the children, not to be a defeatist and hang back.

Don’t you remember what happened when Gabby Gifford was shot, or what happened on the Thalys train?

On the Thalys train it was an AK-47 and a pistol. Gifford and the other victims were shot with a pistol. In both cases the attackers were stopped by unarmed individuals. What does that prove about various weapons, the effectiveness of various weapons, or and lack of weapons? Nothing.

I see that our Boy is walking back on his own words now. You know that statement of running up to a person with a AR 15 assault weapon while that person is in the act of killing and that other person has no weapon in his hands., is a fools move.

Our boy realizes the error of his way because he knows that if he did that, he would be dead, dead, dead and no good for the children or nobody else.

The Navy has it's resources both on land, sea and air, Navy personnel is not just restricted to a ship. After basic training, including combat training, most members of newly formed battalions were sent to one of two Advanced Base Depots at Davisville, Rhode Island or Port Hueneme, California for advanced training before being shipped to an overseas assignment.

Then you should know that tactics change as the tactical situation changes. No red blooded serviceman would make the prediction that you have.

Nowhere, in my military training says that you should go into a firefight empty handed, "NOWHERE!!!"

If that was the case, then what can another unarmed shooting victim do for those kids? Maybe, the joke has been in front of us all the time.

WOW!!! He was told to stand down, so that officer was following clear, wise and prudent orders from his superiors? So, that means you and the president was wrong in labeling the first officer on the scene, a COWARD.

Just think of it, if Trump gets his way, a teacher someday may have to be in a gun fight with their students, bad thought.
