The Department of Justice announced Friday they will expand the definition of “machine gun” to include bump stocks, effectively banning the devices, which increase a semi-automatic weapon’s rate-of-fire.

Sessions, who announced plans to ban bump stocks last month, called the proposed rule change a “critical step in our effort to reduce the threat of gun violence,” in a Friday statement.

You can’t achieve any of the actions you are demanding. Even if you could, none of them would make a difference.

Th connection between my son’s murder and the March for More Gun Restrictions is this. My son, previously a victim of violent crime (stabbed in the back while helping the victim of a gang attack) applied for and was denied a concealed carry permit by the Alameda County Sheriff. This sheriff in fact, denies permits to EVERYONE. His murderer was convicted of the felony of armed robbery (with a gun). Subsequently convicted as a felon in possession of a gun. After 15 months in federal prison, six months after his release, murdered my son WITH A GUN. Now you tell me Ron which of these liberal California gun policies benefit lawful citizens and which benefit criminals.

I know that area well, that area is known as the Oakland, San Francisco Bay area. That is just one of the places I did my service at The Alameda Naval Air Station.

My son was stabbed, that made him a victim of violent crime. But in spite of already having been a victim of violent crime, the State of California denied him any means of protection so he was murdered with a .40 S&W pistol. By a twice convicted gun felon who supposedly was denied the means of murder with a gun. Is that the idiocy of your position Ron, that it’s just a damn good thing this murderer didn’t have an AR-15???

These were two events Ron, separated by 10-12 years. My point is my son was refused a carry permit to protect himself. Just like Biden’s gun free zones deny Americans the right to protect themselves. that’s why there are 17 dead in Parkland.

Oh! Why didn’t the police arrest and the courts conviction that guy who stabbed And killed you son for Murder in the first case you quoted at first?

The police in Tracy, CA were corrupt and didn’t do their duty to properly investigate. It was gang related and we can see all over California today how gangs are given a pass.

This gang was ganged up against some kid my son didn’t even know and my son stepped in to help him. While my son was fighting one gang member another gang member stabbed him in the back. My son might not have been old enough at the time to legally own a gun. He might not yet have turned 21.

This happened some time after I had come back to PA to work in late 2003. At that time my son was 18.
