Now on Jan. 16 (UPI) -- Senators asked a panel of legal experts about attorney general nominee William Barr's interpretation of the U.S. Constitution on Wednesday, Day 2 of his confirmation hearing.
The judiciary committee questioned legal experts specifically about Barr's belief in the unitary executive theory, an interpretation of the Constitution that gives the president power to control the entire executive branch.

Former Attorney General Michael R. Mukasey, who served under President George W. Bush, also said presidents can be removed through impeachment if they abuse their power. He said Barr is a self-described "law nerd."
When asked at Tuesday's hearing whether a sitting president can be indicted, Barr said he sees no reason to change current policy, which protects the president.

I want to hear the vote Ron. I've seen both days of testimony. Today the NAACP and Urban League tried to make the case that NO Republican should EVER be AG.

Mr. Johnson took the opportunity to turn the boat around by answering Graham's schoolboy's complaints with the best teacher's response conceivable.

I think the members of the Republican Party should ask yourselves, are you willing to be expansive enough, and inclusive to ensure the rights of individuals — despite their racial background, their interests are met. Not based on conservative or liberal tendencies but based on those individuals' needs and interests that they are asking for.

Ronell Reagan had a war on drugs into finance his contra deal, the price of cocaine went down from $300 an eighth to $100 an eighth. My big concern with George H.W. was his invasion of Kuwait. I don't suppose Barr had anything to do with that?
