Depends what you mean by ISIS.
What are you talking about Steve, Depends what you mean by ISIS, is their more then one? NO!!!
When the civil war in Syria started, ISI fought against Syrian forces and gained ground throughout the region. In 2013, the group officially renamed themselves “ISIS,” which stands for “Islamic State of Iraq and Syria,” because they had expanded into Syria.
What are you talking about Steve, Depends what you mean by ISIS?
Take your time Steve because I want to hear your point.
ISIS no longer has any territory. The are back to being simple terrorists and of course your stupid Democrat congressman dissolved the terrorist committee at this critical moment.
"...this Administration has sent terribly mixed signals about America's commitment to the fight against ISIS in Syria. Our allies have no idea whether the United States will continue to have their backs, and the President has signaled to Assad, Russia, and Iran that they can all do as they please."
“Every time Trump meets with Putin, the country is told nothing. America deserves the truth and the Foreign Affairs Committee will seek to get to the bottom of it. We will be holding hearings on the mysteries swirling around Trump’s bizarre relationship with Putin and his cronies, and how those dark dealings affect our national security.”
I agree with everything you have posted in these last three posting of yours.
I know you do Ron. That's why Eliot Engel plans only to resist and attack Trump, not to do anything useful.
Eliot Engel, Steve!!! Are you talking about The New Democratic Chairman of The House Foreign Affairs Committee has sharply criticized Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s wide-ranging speech on Middle East policy in Cairo this week saying Mr. Pompeo was airing a partisan fight with the Obama Administration in front of a foreign audience?
Have you listened to Pompeo's speech Ron? Maybe you should post it.
"America is a force for good in the Middle East." Do you agree Ron?
Steve, Maybe you should post Pompeo's speech. What happen to your thoughts on Eliot Engel? You are just all over the place. you are showing signs of being a Scatterbrain. Can't you complete a thought?
I posted Pompeo's speech yesterday Ron. Do you agree with what he said, "America is a force for good in the Middle East"? Or do you agree with Eliot Engel?
Yes I do Steve and leaving The Middle East would give Putin the greatest gift of the century, Turkey.
So why do you think "Mr. Pompeo was airing a partisan fight with the Obama Administration in front of a foreign audience?"
I 'am glad you went there. Steve, frankly, it’s just embarrassing that an American secretary of state would travel so far just to spend so much time lobbing political insults at the previous administration to grind a partisan ax in a foreign country.”
Why all of these cheap shots?
So you don't agree that America is a force for good in the Middle East.
YES Sir I do. But this has nothing to do with Pompeo spending so much time lobbing political insults at the previous administration to grind a partisan ax in a foreign country, now do it Steve?
You must not have listened to his speech Ron. Those very words are the same what you claim are being lobbed as insults. The whole speech is an elaboration of "America is a force for good in the Middle East."
It appears to be you, who have not reviewed what The American secretary of state had to say, now didn't you?
So America was previously a force for good in the Middle East?
YES!!! I bet you think Putin's Russia is good for The Middle East, don't you?
I have no idea about Putin's Russia, but I don't think the United States of America has EVER been "a force for good in the Middle East" Ron.
The U.S. is in the Middle-East to keep a check on Russia and Iran. As you may know, Assad's army has retaken the major cities in the heavily populated western part of the country, while the Islamic State remains on the defensive due to the U.S. bombing campaign in the eastern part.
Remember, we have a ally in The Middle East, you do remember Israel don't you?
We are a force in the Middle East, a force for ourselves. That doesn't make us good. Or maybe you think a million dead in Iraq is good Ron?
Remember, we have a ally in The Middle East, you do remember Israel don't you? The U.S. is in The Mid East fighting TERRORISM, is that good for The U.S. or Not Steve?
Fighting terrorism is a necessity Ron. There's nothing "good" about it.
We kill them before they kill us. It's simple self-preservation.
Why do you think Fighting terrorism is a necessity?
Because there are more terroristic acts if we don't fight.
With that in mind, would you want to fight terrorism on their home court or ours?
I think that's an extremely offensive question Ron. Why do you think the Syrians are less valuable than us?
We've defeated ISIS in Syria. They will continue to be terrorists. Like roaches, they may need to be sprayed again. OR, Syria may develop a viable government to keep them in check. We will see.
If ISIS was defeated NO ISIS terrorists will come back and you want need to spray them again, just ask the NAZIS.
Why do you think the U.S. is in Syria in the first place, Steve?
Are you really that dumb Ron? ISIS controlled territory, now they don't. You will never stamp out terrorism, not even if we stayed in Syria til kingdom come.
If we get out of Syria, NATO will rush right in Ron. Let them handle it, since they are such indispensible ALLIES.
You remember 9-11 when NATO came to our aid don't you?
Trump has succeeded where decades of Russian nuclear saber rattling, spying, assassinations, and information warfare have failed to fray the alliance.
No Steve, not like that. I think it is common knowledge that the NATO treaty clearly states an attack against one NATO member is an attack against all (correct?)
Canada, Britain, the Netherlands and others spent more than a decade fighting in Afghanistan as a result of the 911 attacks. We must not forget our allies like France, Britain, Australia, Poland as well. Italy, Spain, Israel shared intelligence news.
Now Russia, India and China helped by combatting the other terrorists that linked with terrors in their own place.
Let's face it Steve, America’s allies-from Europe to East Asia to the Persian Gulf played a very important part of that strategy according to history.
