House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Republicans on Saturday balked at President Donald Trump's roughly $1.8 trillion stimulus proposal, making it all but certain Congress won't pass an economic relief package before Election Day.

On Saturday, Pelosi called the counteroffer Trump made Friday "insufficient" and "amounted to one step forward, two steps back" in negotiations, underscoring that there are several major outstanding policy issues to work out.

"At this point, we still have disagreement on many priorities, and Democrats are awaiting language from the Administration on several provisions as the negotiations on the overall funding amount continue," Pelosi wrote in a letter Saturday to House Democrats.

Pelosi's cool reception to the $1.8 trillion offer from Trump -- the administration's highest offer thus far in the months-long talks -- comes as Republicans have made clear to their respective leaders they want no part of a deal this big, which Senate Leader Mitch McConnell and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy have communicated to the White House.

1.8 trillion is too much. Don't do it Mr. President. We'll get the House back and Peolsi can go diddle herself.

Can't you see that Trump will sell you down the river so, stop crying man!!! Trump is trying to get reelected because he knows, if he don't get reelected, he maybe going to jail and this is the man you are rooting for, tells me a lot about your programing.

Steve Williams Sunday, October 11th 2020 at 1:39AM

We've piled up enough debt already. A bunch of it was because Trump caved to the Democrats so he could improve the military. He needs to hold the line now. That's what will get him reelected.

Dea. Ron Gray Sr. Sunday, October 11th 2020 at 9:58AM

The only was Trump wins now if there be a low voters turn out and it looks like that is not happening GOOD.

Steve Williams Sunday, October 11th 2020 at 12:04PM

Nancy won't allow any relief bill to pass before the election. She's going to give America the finger.

Dea. Ron Gray Sr. Sunday, October 11th 2020 at 9:35PM

There is a Bill that Nancy already passed out of The House and it went to the Republican control Senate where Moscow Mitch has the Bill now and the BILL is now in his hands Steve, it is all up to your party now.

Steve Williams Sunday, October 11th 2020 at 10:14PM

Nope. Both chambers must agree and it's Nancy's bill that's disagreeable and needs to change. She will pay the price.

House Passes $2.2 Trillion Dollar Second Stimulus Bill, Is Racial Equity Lacking For African Americans? https://www.forbes.com/sites/korihale/2020...

Steve, that is right Both Houses must pass the bill. Now I am showing you my proof that The House has passed a Second Stimulus Bill and it was sent to the senate.

Steve, Don't Moscow Mitch runs the Senate?

Don't Moscow Mitch have a say in what bill reaches the floor of the Senate for a VOTE?

If so, Steve can't you see the holed up is with the Republicans?

Steve Williams Monday, October 12th 2020 at 10:46AM

Why is the House bill 2.2 trillion? It should be half that.

Dea. Ron Gray Sr. Monday, October 12th 2020 at 11:18AM

If you feel that way, then tell that to Moscow Mitch and The Republican Party, negotiations now is in hands of The Senate.

Steve Williams Monday, October 12th 2020 at 2:04PM

I'll tell it to Chrissy Houlahan.

Dea. Ron Gray Sr. Monday, October 12th 2020 at 6:06PM

Are you talking about Houlahan who voted in favor of the HEROES act, and her challenger Emmons who said he thinks it's too much of a moving target to support it right now, that one?

No, talk to Moscow Mitch, because then you will be talking directly to the problem of the stimulus proposal.

Steve Williams Monday, October 12th 2020 at 9:05PM

No. I'll send a message to Houlahan on November 3 when I vote for her opponent. We'll do our best to unseat her and send her home. We didn't have enough time in 2018 but now it's 2020 and we have another shot at her.

Steve Williams Monday, October 12th 2020 at 9:07PM

Mind your own business Ron. You have no influence over McConnell, that's perfectly clear.

Dea. Ron Gray Sr. Monday, October 12th 2020 at 9:45PM

Are you saying that you would gave your vote to Emmons who said he thinks it's too much of a moving target to support it right now, that one? IN SHORT: He will not lift a finger to give you or your family any help during this pandemic?

You are really a different bird.

Steve Williams Tuesday, October 13th 2020 at 1:31AM

Houlahan stole the seat with the help of our partisan-elected-Democrat Supreme Court. It's none of your business.

Dea. Ron Gray Sr. Tuesday, October 13th 2020 at 8:36AM

OH!!!! Stop your whining Steve, did you want crackers with that?

Steve Williams Tuesday, October 13th 2020 at 10:38AM

I have a vote, that's all I need.

Dea. Ron Gray Sr. Tuesday, October 13th 2020 at 2:56PM

That is right Steve, you do have a vote and so do I. Would you GIVE A DAMN, if Trump and or The Republican Party, make it harder for Black Americans to cast their vote in this election?

Steve Williams Tuesday, October 13th 2020 at 3:55PM

I'm opposed to the Democrat Party and the Republican Party both. Look what you have now with dark money pouring in from all over the country, supporting Lindsay Graham's opponent. It seems to me something like that should be illegal.

Dea. Ron Gray Sr. Tuesday, October 13th 2020 at 4:06PM

You are right, just look at all the DARK MONEIES doing to our court systems, all the way up the supreme courts.

Steve Williams Tuesday, October 13th 2020 at 6:13PM

The Democrats are the bigger spenders.

Dea. Ron Gray Sr. Tuesday, October 13th 2020 at 8:50PM

Steve, The Supreme Court 010 decision in Citizens United v. FEC allows corporations, nonprofits, and unions to spend an unlimited amount of money on elections and political issues without publicly disclosing the donors or other funding sources. Some conservatives, like Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), praised the decision as protecting corporations’ right to free speech.

According to Issue One, a nonpartisan group that employs Republicans and Democrats seeking to reduce the influence of money in politics, liberal dark money groups surpassed conservative dark money groups in spending for the first time during 2018 election cycle, when liberal groups constituted 54 percent of all dark money spending and conservative groups constituted 31 percent.

Steve, did you know that Up until that point, conservative dark money groups constituted at least 70 percent of all dark money spending every election cycle since Citizens United.

The investors now know NOT to throw DARK MONIES at Trump because they know now, they will NOT get an there investment worth, they too is running from Trump like the plague.

YOUR WORDS: The Democrats are the bigger spenders.

MY REPLY: You been taking DARK MONEY under the table throughout U.S. History and now you want to start CRYING NOW, BULL 💩 Steve, (LAUGHTER…)

Steve Williams Tuesday, October 13th 2020 at 10:11PM

It shows what a hypocrite you are about Citizens United.

Dea. Ron Gray Sr. Tuesday, October 13th 2020 at 11:07PM

Is this all you GOT STEVE, after reading a Supreme Court 010 decision in Citizens United v. FEC. What's the matter Steve, now you see that you are being used by DARK MONIES and you have not received you check yet? WOW!!!

Steve Williams Tuesday, October 13th 2020 at 11:11PM

Dark money doesn't concern me Ron, any more than Russia concerns me. I have all the information I need and I ignore all the stupidity like the Little Lincolns.

Dea. Ron Gray Sr. Tuesday, October 13th 2020 at 11:32PM

Way are you running from me? It was you who brought up the issue of DARK MONEY. Now you are trying the run away because I know do are now saying Dark money doesn't concern me Ron.

We do have to talk about foreign interest Steve, when I am talking about corporations, nonprofits, and unions to spend an unlimited amount of money on elections and political issues without publicly disclosing the donors or other funding sources.

MY QUESTION: "What's the matter Steve, now you see that you are being used by DARK MONIES and you have not received your check yet?" or are you acting this way for FREE?

Steve Williams Wednesday, October 14th 2020 at 8:45AM

I brought up Jaime Harrison. I said I thought money from all over America should not be legal to use in his campaign in South Carolina. You called it "dark money" not me.

Dea. Ron Gray Sr. Wednesday, October 14th 2020 at 10:47AM

Steve, STOP LYING... You know damn well that is was YOU who first brought up DARK MONEY in this conversation and here's my PROOF that YOU LIED:

Are these your words: "

I'm opposed to the Democrat Party and the Republican Party both. Look what you have now with dark money pouring in from all over the country, supporting Lindsay Graham's opponent. It seems to me something like that should be illegal.

Now MAN- UP Steve and don't run, Are these your WORDS?

Steve Williams Wednesday, October 14th 2020 at 11:29AM

Yes Ron, I see now I called it dark money. That was probably not accurate. Donations directly to Harrison's campaign would all be subject to disclosure right?

Dea. Ron Gray Sr. Wednesday, October 14th 2020 at 3:00PM

I would think....
