The question is about what should be taught to our children. You can study RACIAL RECKONING on your own time. I did when I was 15 and read the true history of the Indian Wars ON MY OWN TIME. Nothing I have learned about RACIAL RECKONING was ever learned in "grammar school" and I have all the knowledge I need. Our youths are the most promising EVER.
Then how would you teach The civil war in this country without mentioning SLAVERY?
Of course the teaching of American history in our schools should teach about slavery Ron. They could have the students read Roots for instance. When I watched Roots and later read Roots I understood the history but I didn't think of it in terms of a racial reckoning. I have never thought about Critical Race Theory until recently but I've known all along, there can be no racial reckoning.
What are you talking about: “ there can be no racial reckoning, Steve?
That's what you're trying to teach Ron, a racial reckoning. It's a synonym for Critical Race Theory, which is the IDEOLOGY that America is systemically racist.
Steve I asked you to explain yourself: "What are you talking about: “ there can be no racial reckoning, Steve?
These are your words Steve, you don't have to run from yourself.
Now answer the question.
I'm talking about what Kimberlé Crenshaw said to Joy Reid:
"It is a backlash effort to reverse the racial reckoning unlike anything we've seen in our lifetime." I think with this statement she's equating "racial reckoning" with Critical Race Theory. I say that RACIAL RECKONING is a pipe dream. There's no way to achieve it Ron.
Yes it can Steve, when you start to respect people who may not look 👀 like you, who was born right here in this country as fellow Americans.
Yes we can Achieve that level of acceptance through the power of LOVE as one people nation under GOD.
Then start showing love Ron. I don't see love in this debate.
Yes you do Steve, you may not recognize it because that's something you are trying to avoid and that LOVE it's called the TRUTH.
It is just that simple.
How convenient you call love truth and truth is whatever you want it to be Ron.
There is a difference between THE TRUHT and A LIE Steve, this is something you should know well by now.
Steve, Today, who is The President of The United States of America?
The type of "truth" you are talking about Ron, is relative not absolute. When you claim Trump told us to "inject bleach", would you call that an absolute truth? Of course not, but to you it means something.
Just what I thought, you are still avoiding this very powerful question and that's because you are running like hell from the TRUTH.
You of all people claim Enlightenment, am I CORRECT Steve?
YOUR QUESTION: "When you claim Trump told us to "inject bleach", would you call that an absolute truth?"
MY REPLY: "NO STEVE!!!" I would call that a LIE and Trump wanted his followers like yourself to believe that those words that came out of his mouth because if that was not the case, why would Trump tell the people of The United States Of America THAT LIE?
WHY STEVE? Answer that one on your next reply, OK!
I'm happy to hear you confess your lie Ron. The idea of you injecting bleach is ridiculous.
Just what I thought, you are still avoiding this very powerful question and that's because you are running like hell from the TRUTH.
You of all people that claim Enlightenment, am I CORRECT Steve?

Chris Hayes: If you think white backlash and moral panic over "critical race theory" is so powerful that it will be the key to taking over Congress in the midterms—you are conceding the central premise of critical race theory itself.
