Champion and beloved professional bodybuilder Cedric McMillan has reportedly passed away. He was 44.
According to Generation Iron, family members have confirmed McMillan’s death, which comes after he was very open about his past heart issues and near death experience in 2021. The outlet reports that the Maplewood, N.Y., native died after suffering a heart attack while on a treadmill, though the specific details have not yet been confirmed.
Black Skull USA, McMillan’s sponsor, announced the news of his death via a statement on Instagram.
"We regret to inform you that our friend and brother Cedric McMillan passed away today," the post reads. "Cedric will be greatly missed as an athlete, comrade, friend and father. Our prayers are with all his family and friends. He 'fought the good fight' and now he rests."
