Republican candidate Herschel Walker is hawking fake police badges to supporters in an effort to take advantage of what pundits considered a gaffe in his tight Georgia U.S. Senate race.

Days after Walker whipped out an “honorary badge” during a high-stakes debate with Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-Ga.), the retired football star’s campaign ordered 1,000 plastic replica badges that it plans to use as campaign gimmicks.

PRESS RELEASE:
Wednesday, October 19th, 2022

ATLANTA – Today, Team Herschel released a statement on Rapahel Warnock once again failing to take responsibility for driving our economy into the ground this week at a press conference.

Over the past two years, Warnock has voted with Biden 100% of the time when it comes to economic policies and has put us in an economic recession with historically high inflation. Warnock blindly supported the poorly-named Inflation Reduction Act before it was written and has continuously tried to mislead voters. This bill threatens to kill thousands of jobs and manufacturing across Georgia. What’s more, since its passage last month, it has done everything but reduce inflation. The Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose in September and our nation is over $31 trillion in debt.

“After voting for record government spending and inflation and voting with Biden 100% of the time on economic issues, Warnock continues to point fingers,” said campaign spokesman Will Kiley. “Warnock has continued to boast about helping pass the Inflation Reduction Act, but this terrible piece of legislation has put our state and nation in a worse position. Families still can’t afford food and gas. One thing is for certain: Warnock will blame everything but himself for his own failures.”
