This Represents "Us!"

Amazing talent... the teacher should be commneded but the one who worked with her and encouraged her should be given the honor and praise deserving.

Wow that was totally amazing... Karen now that young one almost brought a tear to my eye! ;-)

That was awesome. She speaks better than some grown folk I know (smile). You can tell she received a lot of support and encouragement from home to put on such a performance.

She sollidifies the longstanding arguement I've been having for YEARS. We CAN be whatever we want. I think one of the key things that people miss about Dr. King is that he was a messenger of hope...not hopelessness. He was a messenger of love...not hate. He was a messenger of acceptance...not exclusion. It wasn't his dream for just black people to come together. To fight segregation as a by product of discrimination, his dream was that we ALL come together and unify as PEOPLE without regard to our ethnic makeup or the of our skin. His dream was for the content of our character to speak for us.

Many different races have it wrong, including many of us black people. I hear so many stories of uniting at the cost of living the very premise that Dr. King fought again and lost his life for. We still talk about segregating ourselves from the rest of the world and lose his entire message and his legacy.

I enjoyed this little girl. ...from the mouths of babes. Lord, I tell you.
