Black in America: I FELT like I missed the CONCLUSION!

For some reason...I didn't feel that the show ENDED in a way that made sense to me personally.

It seemed to be interrupted by coverage of Barack Obama in Germany. I don't recall what HAPPENED after Dr. Dyson said his brother had it harder because he was dark complexioned. It seemed to JUST CUT OFF.

Did I miss something. What was the conclusion of the show tonight?

I felt that there were soooo many black men NOT heard from in my experience. Men like my dad, my brother, my husband, my father in law, my brother in laws, my cousins, my classmates, my co-workers, my neighbors were INVISIBLE. These men are NOT rich, they are NOT Phds, they are not missing from their families, they are NOT ALONE in the streets, they are just hard working regular guys who volunteer, they support and they don't get up on stage to boast about it either. THEY JUST DO.

Am I travelling in a very unique circle of life?

Personally, I have always been trained to do the following:
1) "Tell 'em what ya gonna tell 'em"
2) "Tell 'em"
3) "Tell 'em what ya told 'em"

I guess the moment I blinked at the screen at 10:58 p.m. that I missed step #3.

I do not RECALL ever HEARING or SEEING a summary of what the hard work, blood, sweat and tears of a documentary on the 38 million human lives reflected in this piece of work was purposed to be...but that is JUST ME.

Sisterly love,

Joan
