I was listening to a radio show talking about single American women with children in poverty ( referring to this news article “http://www.opposingviews.com/questions/should-prostitution-be-legal”). A black woman called in to the show, she was wondering why she could not go into business as a prostitute and why it was still illegal. She made the point that she lived in the hood in Baltimore and that she could pull herself out of poverty if prostitution was legal. The radio person asked how her children might feel knowing she is a prostitute. She responded – “they would not be hungry and getting in trouble for stealing.”
Should prostitution be a legal way for willing women in poverty to earn money or would it further erode America society?
